That's par for the course with Meltz, though in this particular instance we're talking about a very mild difference. The Ruby/Bayley match is the most mis-rated of them all, by a LARGE margin, though.

 

Ruby/Bayley got both the "0.5 star discount for being on the preshow" *and* the "0.5 star discount for being a women's match"

What's the highest rating he has ever given for a women's match?

 

In WWE, I believe Bayley vs Sasha at Brooklyn with 4 1/2 stars. I believe all the 5 star women's matches he has given were from Japan in the 90s.

 

Can't say that I've seen those matches from Japan

Yeah, the Ruby/Bayley match felt a little rough...though what he's factoring in there is the build to it, which has been thoroughly mediocre.

And the match had some serious pacing issues, and got really sloppy in the middle. Even that cool move Ruby did in the corner took like 2s too long to set up

nah, thats the kind of stuff that should get you in deep shit (versus doing silly stuff on social media, etc).

Asking the producers for a beatdown, they say no. Going to Vince, he says no. Then doing it anyway. Now you're a guy they cant trust to finish a segment properly when they're up against a commercial break or near the 10:00 time window. Not to mention cameras arent expecting it, announcers arent expecting it, etc.

But WWE needs to stop with the little people stuff anyway
