So 70 man rumble spread out over two days?

 

Next year’s mania is a four day rumble with every person on the roster and the winner gets every belt and then have to defend those belts all at the next PPV

 

just call of night of the royal rumble

 

the 40 man Rumble was one of the worst viewing experiences in recent memory. although 20 participants were jobbers and the winner was the worst

 

two 30 man rumbles, winners of each one faces one another for some title

There was this post on r/sc that was supposedly from someone from Saudi Arabia and gave their thoughts on wwe being there. It mentioned that they are slowly creeping toward progression and how the younger generations do not agree with the laws and treatment of women/gays/etc and how they are working toward improving that.

It talked about how they never had any form of outside entertainment and that this is a step in the right direction and that maybe as they get more entertainment from around the world it may influence things to start changing. Can’t find it now though

 

i read that, but the guy said lbgtq+ still don’t have a snowball’s chance in hell at being viewed as people anytime soon, so fuck it still imo

There's a screencap of it; the fact that it doesn't wash over the lgbtq issues does make it sound like it might not be. But the guy's history is kinda suspicious; a bunch of posts about Saudi Arabia/GRR which is a little off...but he could just be super enthusiastic about it/I hate how Reddit loves to jump on calling people shills. But his only non-SA related post is a cat sneezing that got 75k upvotes which is odd.........


but realistically I don't doubt that it is a true sentiment shared. I had a class with a kid from SA and he once gave a presentation that was full of jokes about how backwards they are and how America's 'almost there' with Trump, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

I mean, awesome if the youth of the country are trying to change with the times but wwe is getting money from the old people in the country who still actively hate the LGBTQ+ and women communities. Just not worth supporting this special, imo. I already over look so much with the company that I feel like I need to draw a line at some point. And that line for me is hearing for 2-3 about a women’s revolution in the sport and then they sign a massive deal in a place they can’t even work.

 

I'm surprised super marks haven't tried to spin it as "Vince's last hurrah" and it's solely on him and other shit

 

Couldn't the silver lining at least be that some people who have nothing to do with women's rights are being treated to something they never thought they would be able to see? There are still human beings living there who don't make the decisions and I don't think the quality of life there is too great in general so idk.

I am NOT defending anything, just looking at any possible positive.

Btw I do love the concept of them doing more international events as ppvs in replace of b ppvs. Anything that's not big 5 is up for change in my mind

 

Maybe the entertainment will help with a social change in Saudi Arabia since the entertainment is somewhat radical to their norm. But I agree with @bigmike in that at some point there has to be a line drawn in how much I/we/idk contribute the success of the product when they have done some pretty shady things. Kinda why I don't watch ROH as much because Sinclair is a fear-mongering corporation and the Fite App sux (at least for me and many of my friends).

 

Feels weird that Keith Lee doesnt get a rematch for his belt. And a lot of that card is pretty blah otherwise

 

Yep, Id love an australia event, they could have done something big in South Africa if they wanted, and Id also think a UK network event would be big. Hell, they could run a massive Wembley show pretty easy
