I mean, I feel like that has been the deal with Survivor Series for the past decade, if not longer. Illogical pairings that are a slap in the face of previous storylines. Sometimes its one or two people on the same team, sometimes it's an entire time, and sometimes it's a whole entire roster (didn't we get very similar "invasion" angles last year and back during the original brand split?)

 

And it’s always been really stupid but at least last years build didn’t include something so seemingly heelish like SDL tonight

No one is disagreeing with that. We're just saying it's par for the course with WWE, especially come Survivor Series

I think we've found Brandon Stroud's number one fan.

 

Any chance Sami, KO, Miz, Cesaro and Sheamus form their own team and the main event becomes a triple threat (or whatever the survivor series equivalent is)

 

This is only par for the course for SS with a brand new split - I don’t remember the 2014 or 2015 SS having any weird character motivations

 

I’d say zero chance

 

But even tonight was unusually abysmal than in year’s past

 

I’d rather just see heels vs faces. Or at least show some reluctance in some of the pairings. As people have said, having KO and Sami screw Shane makes sense. But then why would Shane trust them in the first place? Maybe have Shane offering big money to Corbin or Rusev to get them to work with the faces. Things of that nature.

At the end of the day I’m still watching. I’m sure they are coasting from here until the Rumble anyway

 

2015 barely had a survivor series match. They invented both of them like a week before.

Whats amazing is "Clash of Champions" will involve no clash of champions...and thats all survivor Series is gonna be. Might as well just dump the PPV, make Clash of Champions the intra-brand night, and not have to waste so much time destroying every story in the process.

Miz, Cesaro and Sheamus aren't gonna want to fight for Angle, Sami and KO aren't gonna want to fight for Shane. How else do you get them on the PPV?
