Haven't watched the NJPW event from last weekend since I was out of town. Is it worth checking out or a let down like the last US event?

Good first night. Elgin match was really good. Suzuki match was a good slow burn. Okada and Jay White was great.

 

Didn’t watch any of the undercard but was pleased with the first night overall. Makabe and Yoshi-Hashi was surprisingly really enjoyable. I know he still gets a lot of hate but I’m really coming around on Jay White. Between his match with Juice and this match against Okada, he’s been really entertaining. One of my favorite moments with him tonight was after he choked Okada with the ring apron, he politely put everything back in place to appease Red Shoes.

 

Def worth checking out. Lot of really solid matches and a few really noteworthy things occurred.

 

That and the rain maker spot ruled

 

Meant to renew NJPWorld last night so I could watch night 1 this afternoon, but I got lazy, gonna renew later so I can watch the rest, sounds like night one was great

 

Weird, that and New Day v Sanity in a tables match on the pre-show
