Thanos is an insanely detailed render and an impressive feat. I've seen videos from VFX artists detailing some of the work involved and it's pretty incredible. The amount of detail and attention they put towards things like facial stubble and making sure the skin pores stretch realistically is wild.

I just wonder how much of that criticism is clouded by never seeing a big, purple alien in real life heh. There's a biggg difference between rendering a shiny plastic toy and a living organism interacting with the real world

it's easy to clown because the movie is so bad plot/character-wise but the cgi design of the Na'vi is pretty insane

gollum holds up. the apes in planet of the apes new trilogy are better than they have any right being.

I don't disagree, but there's a difference between having an issue with design and having an issue with the actual CGI render itself. But I suppose you didn't really specify what in particular you take issue with originally, so I'm making assumptions :-p

Thanos is one of the, if not most, detailed realistic CGI characters to appear in film. No exaggeration. Plenty of CGI artists have said he is the most impressive character they’ve seen. Little details such as his pores stretching while he speaks, for example.

  9. I also think Joi from Blade Runner, or hell, some of the stuff Shinkai is doing is better than Evil Grimace.

The apes in the Apes Trilogy are insane. Those movies completely hinge on those characters being convincing to the audience too.

The apes and Gollum are the perfect mixture of CGI artistry and acting from Andy Serkis.

Caesar is still the most impressive full CGI character of all time imo

Thanos is really good though. And, again, better than anything DC has done by far.

  21. We find Steve's great-great-nephew also wished for him back and did not renounce his wish.

Diana must now convince Steve's stubborn relative to renounce his wish. Could be a 2-hour family dramedy.

I'm thinking a crossover with Star Trek, where the Enterprise time travels again and Kirk somehow ends up meeting Diana.

Can't wait to see Kristen Wiig with horrible CGI to make her look old as hell (they won't just use practical makeup because that would be too hard).

Not sure how Cheetah could still exist after the wishes being reversed but whatever. She was fine honestly, it was the writing that did her a disservice

Just have someone else write it and don't do a good damn CGI fight. Bring in Peter Dinklage to play Felix Faust.
