Pascal and Wiig ruled in this. Movie would’ve been a snooze otherwise. Plot was gobbledygook nonsense. Godot was fine, Pine barely made an impression. Still had fun tho.

Why is Diana shockproof, but Cheetah isn't, despite wishing to have the same powers as Diana?

Only Pascal has the level of cocaine fueled insanity this plot calls for.

I will say the flying scene was beautiful. Kinda makes the great moments ruined.

  5. I absolutely loved this. It’s definitely a tad too long but man this was a really fun ride that I thought had pretty great dramatic moments while still being a pretty big, fun superhero movie. Everything feeling over the top felt to me as though it were completely by design.

Finally just finished this. It was fine and enjoyable. Definitely long, a bit of a mess, and full of clunky dialogue, but I really liked watching it regardless. Lots of fun and plenty of cool action

  7. I don't know if it's the writing but as much as I love Gal Gadot I feel her acting is terrible.

Chris Pine's character gave me Finn in TROS vibes - his only purpose is to go "Diana, wait!".

  8. I posted a review of this on YouTube earlier today. I hope no one minds me sharing here but if so, @Jason Tate or anyone else, just let me know and I’ll happily edit the post.

Ugh this was boring as fuck. Pine was the only fun part. Pedro was decent but the plot was so stupid I kind of hated him because of it. Wiig was ehh.

Doesn’t Oscar Isaac also say “more, more!!” in x-men apocalypse?

    Starting this now.

hear Wonder Woman is in the Middle East.

Hope she’s not supporting the IDF or something like that

Don’t really watch superhero movies, so I thought my initial assessment of this as way too long and boring would have been needlessly harsh...until seeing folks here say the same thing.

Has anyone mentioned how perfect the mid credits scene was yet?

This was just ok. Thought the villains were good, but the movie tried too hard to explain the science/powers. Gal’s acting and the length also brought the movie down, which is ironic cause in the movie everything goes to hell way too fast in it. This reminds me a lot of Amazing Spider-Man 2: lots of discussion and unnecessary/confusing plot points with the vast majority of the movie taking place out of the costume. Feels like a series of “moments that would be cool” strung together with no real thought of a story.

I'm just confused how this was directed by the same person who directed the first one

  17. Final sequence reminded me of Johnny Depp in that last Fantastic Beasts movie. Just chaos, wind and screaming evil nonsense.
