Getting on this tour must have been so cool for them. I hope they blow up a bit in the States now.

seeing them on the 30th with a friend who only knows, and loves, lipstick on the glass. beyond excited. i finally got around to listening to my love is cool a few weeks ago for the first time and it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite albums of all time. which is insane as blue weekend is already in my top 10. only other bands that have repeats on my top 10 are Jimmy Eat World (futures, clarity) and mewithoutYou (pale horses, self titled)

what a legendary band. im so pumped to see them

Probably the best show I've ever seen in my life. Their range is crazy; I've always known that since I first started with them in Visions of a Life, and they really mastered that craft in Blue Weekend, but seeing the stretch of Safe From Heartbreak -> Make it OK -> Greatest Hits live, just like the record, and seeing my friend's reaction to the sonic whiplash, was incredible. The set was perfectly paced and they played Visions of a Life, which I did not expect to hear based off of their sets from earlier this year, so I was losing my mind! Giant Peach has now become my favorite song from the band too! The "hard to give a... hard to give a..." line translates so well in the venue and the whole world halted right before the breakdown. My friend and I played My Love Is Cool on the ride home and he scrambled to turn it up during the same breakdown. It was awesome lol

Two of my friends were supposed to go, but only one was able to make it, so every 2 songs or so my friend, who knows almost nothing about the band, would go "holy shit, I can't believe he missed this". Wolf Alice rules so much!!! Their stage presence was definitely my favorite part about all of it though. Ellie needs no introductions, but wow, there was this one moment, I think in How Can I Make It OK, where she took off her blazer and started doing like very pop-esque model poses with it, and she honestly stole the show with her confidence! My POV from the sea of bobbing heads had mainly Joff (and Ellie), which was such a good treat, as he's always motioning his hands for the crowd to sing, so he was very, very into it! I couldn't see Theo as much, which was a shame, cuz my friend said he was just bouncing around everywhere! Theo was super funny during the crowd interaction too; he thought it was a Saturday lol. Lastly, Joel is an insane drummer and I never realized how good his parts were until the show. There was a very fun moment in Formidable Cool where him and Ryan were just following each other on the beat, bobbing their heads at the same time while looking at each other while being SUPER into it. I love it when band members interact with each other like that. Speaking of Ryan, his synth part in No Hard Feelings got lit by the spotlight and the whole crowd erupted for him. It was a very warm moment and I really hope he becomes a permanent member of the band.

    Also, Luna Li was fantastic!

idk why but whenever i listen to Visions of a Life, I always expect the title track to come after Purple & Green. something about how its outro makes it feel like the perfect penultimate song. not that i dislike After The Zero Hour, just an observation
