spent a lot of time with this record over the past few weeks…. one of their best in a stacked catalog

 

They’re streaming their shows next Tues and Wed in New Orleans via Nugs. Free for subscribers but I’m sure there’s a ppv option too

 

If you cut about 6 songs from this I would say it is the best thing they've done since Sky Blue Sky, and can proudly stand alongside that album. This album's biggest flaw is criminally underutilizing one of the most talented groups of musicians out there.

I wonder why this is. Is it because their kids are mostly all grown?

 

i would imagine it’s more due to the lineup consistency vs. how chaotic the early era of the band was

 

Yeah they’re locked in as a band and have nothing left to prove to a single person on the planet. They’re all six probably the type of creative people who have to be making something new or they’d go nuts anyway, so why not record it at The Loft and put it out and tour on it? Love it.

 

This song is extremely my shit. Just listened like 10 times in a row.
