Sky Blue Sky most overrated

Ode to Joy most underrated

The band slowly lost me from Sky Blue Sky to Star Wars and have gradually won me back starting with Schmilco. They’re on a great late career streak now and I really love the 2 singles.

it's a long weekend here this week and I absolutely cannot wait to soak up this album with some sun for 3 days straight

Diggin this album a good amount

 

thought this was gonna be a lot weirder with how it was marketed lol but it's a pleasant listen. opener and Pittsburgh are tight

 

yeah the opener and closer are my two favorite songs. ive only been able to listen to this handful of times at a decent volume while doing other things so I haven't been able to really sink in, but I like everything a good amount.

 

I might even say Ode to Joy is a top 4 Wilco record…..

 

ok! anyway the production on this thing is top notch. sounds gorgeous on my good headphones

 

Oh wow “Infinite Surprise”

 

Just finished listening and...huh...I was not expecting to love a Wilco album in 2023, but here we are. Every song is good, damn.

 

This album is fantastic

this is so good except for Ten Dead. just a rough choice for track 2 imo

 

sunlight ends and a bowl and a pudding are so gorgeous. this is great, no surprise

 

Feel like I’ve said this with each of their last three records but this is probably my favorite of theirs in over a decade. So good. Love the production especially.

 

With the caveat that my ranking of this new one can’t possibly be fair:

some cool production decisions here and i love a few tracks but overall this sadly isn’t doing much for me

 

Sunlight Ends and Meant to Be are really awesome, rest is good. Cruel Country made a little bit more immediate a first impression on me, but I’d say this is in the same ballpark of high quality.

 

Sunlight Ends is some Digital Ash shit, big fan

 

Schmilco kinda stinks.
