This was such a better choice than the one I made, I feel like death lol

 

The experience of arriving a half hour after doors and then waiting in line for an hour and a half to get into Brooklyn Bowl has definitely made me more stressed about festival entry today. That said, the show was a lot of fun, and Goldfinger was an awesome surprise.

Watching this one from afar and was hoping it would go off without a hitch

Not a good look cancelling a show the day of with no warning (from what I've seen)

 

As a meteorologist it took me 5 minutes of looking at todays data to confirm that this is the correct decision. Wind gusts over 40mph can cause *serious* problems that can cascade into major hazards very quickly.

With that being said, weather models have been suggesting that today would be quite windy for a few days now. I’ll leave it at that.

 

Having just parked after a 5 hour drive, I’m going to kill myself

 

For some context on the warning from the National Weather Service. This is absolutely the right thing to do, but it sucks so bad for everyone who is there today. I’m sorry y’all.

PDT SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Southwest winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph
expected...with gusts of 65 mph near Red Rock Canyon.

* WHERE...Spring Mountains-Red Rock Canyon and Las Vegas Valley.

* WHEN...From 11 AM this morning to 5 AM PDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles. Areas of blowing dust are likely.

 

My friends has 3 extra GA tickets listed for $330 on StubHub for next Saturday the 29th if anyone wants them. Not mine or I'd list cheaper but he just wants full cost back.

 

Snagged tickets on StubHub for tomorrow at least

That sucks but completely understandable. Anyone who’s gonna lash out at the festival is just an asshole.

If I was a ticket holder for today id just take the full refund and buy a pass for tomorrow on stubhub for a third of the price

 

We got to the gate and informed it was canceled. So depressing

 

….although I wonder if this is gonna cause the stubhub prices to soar up now

 

Supply and demand if you have Sunday tickets for sale you jack the price up

 

I was able to get tickets for 225 on StubHub which is fine since I'm getting a refund for today
