People who couldn't afford to go to fest just want to see it fail to feel better about missing it.
There's also a large part of society that LOVE to see drama from afar. It's all just noise. I'm sure things are gonna go smoothly this weekend.

For the thousandth time, this is a LIVE NATION festival. You're not getting a Fyre Fest disaster from them lol

Glad to see these posts tbh it really does feel like everyone is just banking on this failing for some reason

  5. The powers that be have a pretty big financial interest in the festival going smoothly so if for only that reason it’ll be fine

I keep seeing people in the FB group panicking because someone said they had a bad experience at the hotel they are going to.

"I am going to be in hotel XYZ"
"No, don't go there! We were at the casino and there was some dirt on the floor"
"OMG WHAT HAVE I DONE I HAVE TO CANCEL THE BOOKING OMGOMGOMG"

people on facebook always claim to have the absolute worst experiences ever and then you get there and it's just fine. i gotta stop reading that stuff for my own anxiety

That happened to me at last year's Furnace Fest. I had a hotel booked and the whole group was warning every one not to go there, there was even a post by the mods saying that "locals" are warning against it. Had a pretty good experience, saw none of the stuff people mentioned. If I pay cheap I have very low expectations. All I need is a bed and hot water and I'm good.

You're also in Vegas. There are worse places to be if a festival fails lol

I just hope that they don't start shuffling bands around now. I worked way too hard on managing my own schedule and already have everything printed.

that seems to be the case with a lot of festivals lately. i don't remember hearing any kind of horror stories going to fests before the pandemic, or maybe i just wasn't looking. me and my fiance are getting vip tix to louder than life in louisville for next year and i'm already seeing horror stories about how it wasn't worth it this year and blah blah blah lol.

  13. Car Seat Headrest wasn’t on the schedule anyway?

The only thing that could upset the schedule is if the Paramore Covid situation gets worse

Laughs at 80% battery at the end of the night

Looks like they actually did shuffle some of the bands around. The updated schedule is at the website.

Edit: I was looking at the leaked times, sorry

I think a big part of people wanting it to fail is coming from two sets:

1.) People who are bitter that they can't go for one reason or another (e.g., "I can't afford it, therefore I'm going to trash it")
2.) People who think it's too good to be true and/or don't understand festival logistics

And honestly, I think the doomsayers mostly fall into the #1 category. More often than not, people calling it into question are people without tickets. Bitter people say bitter things, and the fact that this became a big part of the discourse over the last year is only adding to it.

I'm not saying book a month in advanced but Google hotels search doesn't even let you book this far in advance. Vegas has huge events all the time. Idk all travel experts say to wait. Flights too

I always crack up at the people who think it won't happen due to logistics. Humongous festivals featuring dozens of super expensive acts happen all the time. Sure, to us the festival is amazing, but come on, a lot of these acts are essentially doing nothing and aren't impossible to get.

Also love the tweet that the 2023 headliners werent finalized before the announcment. Blink 182 broke the news in their press release hours before WWWY posted the lineup!

every vegas hotel is refundable as well so no reason not to book now

  23. Flights I agree don't book super early. But hotels I think you book when the price is right. And it's pretty good for next year right now.
