Chevelle - Point #1

 

Oh shit! Is that tonight? That record has SO many good songs on it. 2 of my top 5 go back to back on it (Fifty Mission Cap, Wheat Kings)

 

I ordered this European vinyl variant today because it's perfect:

 

Chevelle are the most underrated band that got grouped into the nu-metal genre they're in. I still listen to their records

so overall In Rainbows:

so I was disappointed that Creep was nowhere to be found on this album, but the album itself was Ok. made for good background music while I tried to get some work done, so I wasn't following the lyrics or anything.

standout songs on it was Jigsaw Falling Into Place, Faust Arp and 15 step.

Maybe someday I'll listen to it again. maybe tomorrow or maybe in 25 years I don't know. but it didn't really catch me which could have been because I was trying to work and I fucking hate struts2 upgrade that I'm working on right now.

I dont' want to give it a score because it was my first listen and distractions.

 

Agreed. They have some great stuff. Vena Sera is an awesome album

This Type Of Thinking is my favorite Chevelle record. Sci-Fi Crimes is their most underrated record though

 

sci fi crimes is the one where it's all Tool covers that aren't based on actual Tool songs right?

Chevelle is more similar to Helmet if you're going to say they're ripping off anyone. They sound nothing like Tool

 

Couldn’t get into sci-fi, and their latest effort is bad, but I still stand by them as a whole

 

nevermind that one is La Gorgola

 

Perfect Disease is their best song.

 

Point #1 is heavily influenced by Tool, I feel, but they abandoned that sound right away
