@Larry David you ever see STP live?

 

Unfortunately not. I decided to see Manchester Orchestra instead of them the same night when MO was touring for Simple Math and STP for S/T. I assumed I'd have a chance to see them again!

 

I saw them a few times 3 times (twice in 2008, once in 2010) and Scott was with them each time. I thought they were pretty solid live.

@KidLightning I was wrong - their first self-titled album was released in 2010

 

Yeah Barely Listening is great but everything you just said to me applies to Alright. Definitely one of my fave Pilot Speed/songs period.

 

@Colin Your Enthusiasm have you heard Holy Weather by Civil Twilight? One of the only albums that scratches the Pilot Speed itch for me. Doesn't sound the same really but has a lot of the same qualities that appeal to me in PS.

Alright is great. I think Don't Stare is probably my other contender for the #1 spot

 

Yeah i have good but not great to me. I'm due to go back to that one eventually.

 

They have so many great songs. Love that band. Todd Clark is one of my fave vocalist tbh.

 

@KidLightning some of these songs are not suitable for bathtime music

He does that thing with his voice where he kind of wails and it makes me FEEL

 

Yeah sooo much emotion in his voice. What i like so much about Caught by the window and why its one of my faves is every single song on that record builds and builds and always has some sort of climax. But its never forced. Lead single was great prob the first song i ever heard by them

Yeah it’s one of the best Menzingers songs

April 13th same day as AF!!!!!

 

This new STP album is pretty good so far (on track 5) . Sounds like they were having fun, and also sounds like it'd be a good record to drive around to with the windows rolled down.
