I don’t even know what I’m rooting for at this point. I like some of these songs but not enough to care about them winning the album.

I don't hate Dreamin' though. The ending is the worst part, but it's short.

I actually relistened to this album today and I like the production a lot. Very much just sounds like the band jamming.

Legitimately can't believe "You try to play cool like you just don't care/But soon I'll be playin' in your underwear" is going to the finals for this album but here we are I guess.

When I saw The Angel and the One lost, I left the page without voting and forgot to come come back for the last round. So Pork and Beans advancing via coin flip is on me. My apologies.

If Greatest Man started at 1:26 and lost the narrator, I'd see it contending, but as it is??

Side note since I missed the round: I really enjoy Heart Songs despite how incredibly cheesy it is. The ode to Nirvana and the tempo shift is fucking great.

Rough album, but this era was the first time I saw them live so fond memories there, though I could have gone without hearing Automatic lol. Pork and Beans is probably the only song that I really like off of Red. The songwriting dip, even considering Make Believe, is very noticeable from the jump. But it’s about to get even worse with Raditude.

It's funny how even though this album got pretty panned, I feel like it was the peak of their popularity. During this cycle I saw them headline Madison Square Garden, and I remember the show selling out pretty quick. It was also a wild show, probably the best of the 6 times I've seen them.

I think Make Believe was the height of their popularity, and this album rode that wave. The singles from Make Believe were huge.

The Red Album is not good, but it was only the nosedive. Raditude was the firery ball of hell at impact.

I mean, Weezer has always been huge, even when they were releasing duds. Every time I’ve seen them have been in HUGE venues (15-20k) whether it be in 2001, 2005 or 2018.

I thought they weren’t that popular for a bit because from 2010-2015 they played every year at my local fair

Agreed. They blew right off the bat with the Blue Album. I'm old so that's when they hooked me.

If I had to pinpoint a peak of popularity, I think it was with Make Believe (same with Elisha Cuthbert).

I've only seen them co headline, with Blink and Foo Fighters separate tours, so hard for me to judge their draw

Weezer is massive. They have some of the biggest singles of the last 25 years. They could have released nothing From 2006-2018 and still be playing 15K cap venues.

I definitely disagree. I remember just 3 years after I saw them sell out Madison Square Garden, their tour came to town to a 5k venue, and it didn't sell out till day of. A year after that they played Jones Beach (a 15k ampitheater) with The Flaming Lips and they reportedly only sold 4-5k tickets.

Obviously moving 5,000 tickets in a market is still good, but they definitely haven't always been an arena caliber act (sales wise).

  25. Listened to Raditude yesterday and it's not good, but...I think it's more listenable than this album as a whole. Even if it never reaches the same highs.
