I disagree about Red, but I do agree about the other two. Red has such a unique production style for them, the guitars are quieter and cleaner, the mix is warm af, and I believe it is mastered quieter than most albums of the era.

Weeper podcasts are the best to listen to, I’ve listened to some where they detest a song/think it’s one of the best things the band has done, then in another podcast the hosts will feel the exact opposite way about the same songs. Like I’ve heard Brave New World described as one of their best songs, same with Heart Songs and California Snow, then another podcast will hate those songs and love others! That sort of conversation really make them one of the best bands out there

  5. So who''s gonna do a Weezer podcast with me on Chorus dot fm

Every episode you should have on two people who feel entirely different about a song. I bet you could do that for almost every Weezer song, certainly every one after Pinkerton

  9. It's gonna be contentious, but I suppose the best podcasts are lmao. Gotta find an angle

I'm down and I have podcast experience lol

We can have Matt Apodaca on as a show of good faith

  11. Lol I shamelessly tried to pitch myself for an ep of his show as Chorus's resident Weezer reviewer, no luck

I like how “Perfect Situation” and that one song on Green have almost the same intro

  14. I have been dying to do a Weezer podcast for a very long time so I may be sliding into some of yer DMs, time will tell

I don't know how to podcast, but I do know how to discuss Weezer. I'll stick to the written word though.

Every episode of the podcast should end with ranking the albums again

Listening to Green right now (which turns 20 this year). It’s still a fun time. Safe and middle of the road, but it’s a solid 10 tracks

I had the guitar tab book of Green growing up and I pretty much still play guitar that way lol

Green is a fun album, albeit a bit short, along with formulaic solos. Simple Pages is still amongst my favorite Weezer tracks.

i wouldn’t call it safe or middle of the road. it rules. it would be a lot of bands’ best record.
