Is this darkness in you, too?

 

I was trying to see what day exactly in May that Flies came out on Wikipedia to no avail.

Anybody remember? This will be the three year anniversary, and I'm planning on jamming it all that day.

So many memories of early summer 2014 attached to that record.

I get that its from a tape loop but my good god that quality is so bad I can't even listen to the whole song.

 

It's way old, probably around TCD-era, if I had to guess.

I know it's not totally box related, but did any of you guys see where Future Crooks posted a new song on their facebook recently? I know Brian was involved with that band. Hopefully they will put out another record since I thought their first one was super fun

 

Saw the new song but didn't play it yet. FC's first LP was really good, though. I'd love to get a new album from them.

First FC record didn't have a lot of lasting value for me, despite liking it a lot initially

 

In love with the Future Crooks song, just like I was their LP!

Not so in love with the Weatherbox song, although I do like the Kanye West/Bon Iver-style autotuning at the end. I'm confident it would be improved with a full band set-up though.

As far as unreleased Box goes, this is maybe my favorite...

 

The Cosmic Drama is a perfect record, I'm listening to it right now and crying lol.

 

Yeah such a great record, prefer the original track listing with the first "they're ready for us to come home" though. I think the new version ruins the flow a bit.

100%. The record was literally perfect as-is and I'm so bummed they made the decision to press the deluxe with the altered tracklist. I like the version on its own, of course, though not as much as the original.

I also think this record sounds fantastic. The mix is incredible and I love the production in general. Its easily the best sounding album they put out.

Also, still bummed we didn't get to do a group listen of this record. :(

 

Dan Harmon to adapt classic Kurt Vonnegut novel The Sirens of Titan

 

I feel like I read about this at some point and forgot about it. I'm interested to see how this translates. I love The Sirens of Titan.
