Too many shows goddamn

 

Watching now. I have to keep reminding myself this is a different show with different characters and that Marlo, Poot, and O-Dog didn't become cops and Jay Landsman didn't get promoted to police commissioner.

 

Curious about this but want to wait until more is out and see how people react to it.

Loved that Slim Charles cameo in episode 1.

 

Jon Bernthal is almost too convincing a cop haha

 

he's one of the best actors around. just a goofy dork in king richard, nerd business stiff in ford vs. ferrari, absolutely terrifying in this

 

Episode 3 delivered some more good "Hey they were on The Wire!" moments.

Herc as BPD police union president, Dukie as young patrol cop, Donut as slam poet activist

 

Made the mistake of listening to the BBC podcast about the actual case this is based on expecting to hear more or less what i assumed was going to happen based on what i've seen on the show so far and just heard a crazy spoiler i wasn't prepared for. Goddamnit.

 

That first episode was wild

Wow. He looked so familiar but I couldn't piece it together that Hawk (Tray Chaney) played Poot!

This show has been knocking it out of the park so far.

 

My favorite show of the year so far. This is gonna be a crowded year for Limited series so hoping this will be at least nominated come Emmy time.

 

Can't get enough of this show and Bernthal's performance.

 

I'm going to want more David Simon stuff ASAP once this ends. Is there any updates on where his other projects are in the pipeline? I've been waiting on both his show about the history of the CIA and his show about the American leftist volunteers who fought in the Spanish Civil War for years now.

 

Not gonna lie, didn’t love the first two episodes but the the last two episodes have been fantastic and now I’m fully invested for the final 2.

Bernthal’s performance has been fantastic since the first scene of the series. Admittedly, I struggle with shows that introduce a ton of characters right off the bat (which I feel this did) but I feel like the last two episodes have really zeroed in on the important pieces.

 

Just started this and the pilot is great

 

The last few episodes have been incredible. Bernthal is out of his mind and they're using him so perfectly -- most episodes he barely appears until like 20 mins in and the second he does the entire mood of the show feels heightened.
