  5. Only listened once but this record already feels like an all-timer. Don't feel that way too often after a first listen

The Car Wheels on a Gravel Road nod at the end of the Pitchfork review is very apt, and I don't say that lightly because that is one of my absolute favorite records ever.

But, and this is nit-picking for sure, I think the "east seventh street" mentioned in "Ruby Falls" is in Chattanooga, not Manhattan like the review said. Ruby Falls is the name of a big tourist attraction just outside Chattanooga (went there several times as a kid) and the Stereogum review a few days back mentioned Chattanooga in reference to that song.

  7. I think both you and the review are right. According to the interview/liner notes on Apple Music, it is the Ruby Falls in Chattanooga, but the middle section of the song is about Patti Smith so a New York street name makes sense too.

Obviously incredible, and every time it ends, "No Letting Go" By Wayne Wonder comes on and I have a great time!

Really enjoyed this but I don't think it's a far cry from her other (excellent) releases tbh. Maybe I'm in the minority but I think my fav may still be Ivy Tripp or Cerulean Salt. I only listened to this once though.

  16. American Weekend has stayed my favorite through all the other releases, but this one might top it for me.

I was going to buy a whiskey called Saint Cloud to pair with this album but apparently the owner is a massive piece of shit so I couldn’t do it

This is incredible. Between this one, Silo’s Choice, and Brian Fallon, it’s a great day for singer-songwriters.
