Yay, time to start reviewing mid 00s Warped lineups and blow the rumor/speculation discussion even more out of proportion lol

 

Oh gosh please have it be mid-00's revival.

 

Can this lineup just leak already???

 

My body is ready for the 22nd.

 

It'd be cool to see Eighteen Visions play. They're working on a new album and haven't announced any sort of reunion shows yet.

 

I have a feeling that the reason we haven't seen a massive leak in a poster yet is because they're still working on the lineup.

 

a bunch of bands playing have yet to be mentioned

 

Any hints you're willing to give?

 

At this point, these are the older bands I think have the highest change of playing based on no summer plans and/or have released albums in the last year

Unwritten Law (released Acoustic album last year. Only upcoming shows are Musink and a headliner on 4/7)
The Casualties (last show of upcoming European tour is 5/7. No upcoming US shows. Released album last year.)
Helmet (no upcoming US shows. Two European shows on 6/18 and 6/19, but free the rest of the summer. Released album back in October)
Body Count (new album comes out in less than a month and only currently announced show is Chicago Open Air on 7/15. maybe select dates before or after that.)
Anti-Flag (no upcoming US shows. European tour ends 4/30)

 

Hard to believe we are just about two weeks away from the lineup announcement.

 

It's Not Dead Festival is coming back this year on August 26th. I can't imagine there not being any crossover with Warped Tour.

 

Warped's Instagram just liked a comment saying "Emmure better be there"

 

I See Stars play Orlando the day before the announcement show. Last year I saw Real Friends on the $5 Tour the day before the announcement show and they ended up being there.

That Memphis May Fire / blessthefall tour is also routed in Florida around the time of the announcement show.

 

Trying to think of a lineup that would get me to commit to going again. Most of what I listen to is either against the tour or doesn't fit the target demographic. That said, the old school punk acts, Municipal Waste, Story Of The Year, etc would certainly get me listening. While the Bouncing Souls would get me intrigued, I would rather watch them do a headline or cool support tour.

 

I wish I knew if it was one or two stages that were cut that way I could try to make one last prediction

I would too but I don't think it would sell very well.

 

I think this screams they're in financial trouble more than a diverse lineup.

 

This seems likely especially if they are getting bands that are bigger names. There would be a lot of legal shit with labels and such.

 

I honestly think As It Is could still play. Sure the radius clause exists to help boost sales for warped, but there are many examples of times this has been ignored. And since they haven't played since 2015 I believe and JUST dropped a new album that is getting a lot of attention I'd be surprised if they didn't play and I think Kevin is smart enough to realize this. Definitely would draw well.

 

I love that things are starting to heat up in this thread. Just over 2 weeks people!

 

I expect most bands on the tour this year to do partial runs.

 

It looks like all the bands that could do partial runs would be starting 5-10 days afterwards. Wouldn't want to be in the west coast this year
