2015 was almost as good for me as 2016, I think we have had this conversation already haha. I figured we would get a bunch of 2015 returns this year but most of the bands I wanted to see aren't coming back now.

2016 was a great blend of everything! For me, 2007 was the pinnacle but they could never recreate something like that again since all the current scene headliners are doing something else. Thinking about it, in 2 years it'll be their 25th anniversary. Would you accept a mediocre lineup this year and next for a gigantic Warped lineup in 2019? I'm talking about getting bands/artists that got started on Warped throughout the years on 1 lineup. Meaning, having a mainstage with the likes of Avenged Sevenfold, Taking Back Sunday, Fall out Boy, Bad Religion, NoFx, A Day to Remember, Coheed and other acts that'll celebrate the tour's 25 years. Obviously it'll cost a lot but I think something like that can be done especially 2 years in advance.

However, if you do two mediocre years in a row, you won't have the money to pay something like that off.

Kevin is already downsizing this year with number of bands and stages. If next year he just did label stages (like he did with Victory on Mayhem), he can probably save a pretty penny. I think my idea would work best with 3-4 stages (like Mayhem/Uproar). Have the amphitheater stage as a mainstage with 2 other stages in the parking lot/complex (wherever there's room). The 2 stages will be 30 minute sets while the mainstage will be 40-45. Have the side stages start at 11:15 and end around 6pm. Have the mainstage go from 12-8. I just came up with all of this on the fly and I doubt this will happen.

I think the 2009-2011 setup with one main stage and longer main stage sets was great. I don't know if the tour sold well during those years, though.

I remember one year fans could vote on which band would get to play an extra five minutes at each date. That was pretty cool. It probably ended up being the same 2-3 bands though.

I think Anberlin won the most dates in that contest in 08. I think they did that the following year where (I want to say) ADTR or All Time Low won basically every single date.

and Red Jumpsuit Apparatus won most of them in 2007. Oh, how the times change.

they might have some pop act this year similar to katy perry, mike posner, bebe rexha ect this year but idk who
imo that might help them sell some tickets

Won't happen in a million years but someone like Post Malone could really do well on the tour.

I agree 2016 was fantastic. I'll have to see how it holds up however. For me the best one i've gone to is 2006. I have a feeling that in ten years 2016 might have passed that. :)

    2005
    2009
    2013
    2016

Those are my favorite lineups of the years I've gone. Really can't decide on a rank, though. 2005 clearly had the best overall lineup imo, but I was new to the scene and saw an entirely different bunch of bands than I would if it happened now. Same for 2009 to a lesser extent.

Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance in 2005. Two of the biggest bands to come out of this scene. And The Offspring played too.

    Best lineups since I've been going are 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2016.

Avenged Sevenfold, Thrice, Dropkick Murphys, Underoath, Billy Idol

A Day To Remember and Motionless each did a date as Battle Of The Band winners. Paramore did some dates on the Shiragirl stage. Talk about a gathering of bands before they were huge.

The side stages were amazing too. I can go on and on, but that lineup was freaking legendary. I know it was the first time I ever heard of or paid attention to Warped Tour. Funny to think I went for The Offspring, My Chemical Romance, Skindred, Go Betty Go, and Bleeding Through. I was not familiar with or just wasn't into anyone else on the lineup lol. I wish I was 2-3 years older when I went.

LOL at Maroon 5 being "unlikely" and not "no way in hell"

That's how I felt about 2004 (my first year). I pretty much went for New Found Glory and Yellowcard but the lineup was so good. I wish I could go back in time. I definitely would have gone to multiple dates that year.

They are leaching out from Warped Social Media pages. I mean there's people that are probably dead serious at their MCR, FOB, P!ATD or BMTH predictions.

There's no way 2005 can be topped.
