I personally just wanna nerd out about MCU shit, apologies if I’ve been a dickhead.

 

I’d like to draw us back to the S2 talk.

I never thought that there would be a series 2 due to the talk about Dr Strange etc. And Vision being, errr, dead. So it couldn’t last too long, could it?

However, the appearance of the new Vision made me think: if old Vision ends up in this new body somehow so he can exist outside the hex that means we can have more Vision.

So here’s my speculative idea (all could be quashed on Friday so I don’t know why I am bothering here):
Whatever happens in Dr Strange happens but the end for Wanda is her trapped somewhere, in some reality, maybe even inside herself. She’s done some bad things and she can’t live with herself. Wandavision S2 is then Vision breaking through to the place where she is to rescue her - not out of love but out of a sense of duty. Vision no longer loves her due to the hex manipulation/lies/events and the fact he can’t remember pre-hex, but it’s a logical decision to help.

S2 could then still draw on the tv tribute themes in a totally different way and ultimately could be a story of reconciliation and rediscovering love in this weird reality/place/whatever.

You wouldn’t have much mystery, or the complicated stuff or MCU stuff but they would be able to play with the backdrop they created at the beginning a bit. For me, ultimately for ‘Wandavision’ you need Wanda, Vision and a tv related theme/backdrop.

I don’t know. That’s not going to happen.

I just feel like this isn’t really a magic trick you can pull twice wrt WandaVision specifically.

But also a lot of these shows really just seem to be extended movies, especially given how they’re apparently all tying in to the movies. Like WandaVision is leading into Strange 2, I thought I remember reading that FATWS is leading into Black Widow, etc. etc. Just seems like a lot of these are just one and done ideas to try something different with the characters and make some content on a lower budget to bridge the gaps between movies.

I could actually see Loki getting another season maybe, if Hiddleston wants to do it, just because it’s in a separate multiverse from the main story. But even in that case it seems like there’s a possibility that Loki winds up back in the main universe also just given what that series is going to be about. So idk. I’m not expecting any second seasons for any of them aside from What If, so if second seasons do wind up happening, I’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Part of this is also just wanting characters like Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, and She-Hulk to graduate out of tv and into the movies, potentially even their own movies, one day. I’m still hurting from the pain of Agents of SHIELD and the Netflix shows being separated from the rest of the world forever. I know that will no longer be the case going forward, though.

Judging by set photos of the new Thor, I think it’s VERY likely that Loki is coming back into the MCU but maybe not.

 

I think the new character shows (Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, She-Hulk, etc) have the best chance for multiple seasons rather than shows about movie characters since those are already either the heavy hitters or we’ve seen large portions of their story already.

 

yeah this is a good point also. It just depends on how big of a hit each character is and whether they think they can make a big box office payday by doing a movie instead of just another D+ series.
