My 50-something coworker enjoys music as much as I do, and we often trade recommendations. Today he sends me a YouTube of the Koyo album. I was like dude, come on.... (I know everything. You can't recommend punk bands to me).

Any old heads remember 22 Jacks? Randomly thought of them today and broke out their album, Uncle Bob. I saw them at a local bar in the mid-90’s. Little did I know they were technically a supergroup. Just found that out today on Wiki. Haha.

Edit: I think I saw them open for Reel Big Fish.

 

Managed to snag a restock on the Turntable Lab pressing of Japanese Breakfast.

The pressing is a beaut!

 

Last big mail days. 6 of these are ones I canceled on MerchBar and got on sale on Hopeless. I’ve got a few more en route, then I’m basically down to a few preorders. Wild.



Also, you can’t see it in the photo, but the bottom left corner of Radiosurgery got destroyed in the mail. That corner was caved in on the packaging, which was literally covered in white tape with red letters saying “fragile.” Luckily the record itself seems okay. Super annoying though. It bothers me, but probably nobody else will ever see it to care haha

Damn, I forgot how ambitious and dark and sad this album is I haven’t listened to it forever! Forever such a weird follow up to Ocean Avenue. But, I still like it a lot.

 

I think just the first two From Screen To Stereos now. I will get 2 when it goes on sale at UO or something. Will just wait for a repress of the first.
