The closest record store (by far) is this one in a very heavy tourist area - and the used stuff is always overpriced and lacking in general selection. I sold them a bunch of records in like August and there's still a couple of them left (and they're overpriced). They did have a copy of Killing Time - Brightside for 40 bucks. Looked a lil beat up but the cheapest copy on discogs is 90 dollars

I believe that's just for Young Mountain, which I got from RevHQ last month. I did see them play both albums back in November. Fantastic stuff!

    Motel. Money. Murder. Madness.

I already have a 1200, but I really couldn't say no to this. My favorite Beatle, on a beautiful turntable. I'm into it. I'm curious how the Pro-ject will rank against my Technics.

Picked up The Killer's Hot Fuss reissue along with a Springsteen "Dancing in the Dark" 7" today. Also, my Sinai Vessel order should be showing up this coming week.

Here's a fun one...I just unpacked my records after a move, and a decent number of them are warped enough that they skip when they play :uhoh: Any tips or tricks to repair them to a playable state?

Oooooof. How were they stacked while you were moving? As far as I know, there isn't really a fix.

For my fellow Canadians, if you haven't heard, HMV is closing so keep an eye out for sales. The store near my has "up to 30% off everything in store" running now.

You could try to put them under a pile of heavy books for a while and see if that does anything.

If not, you could try the Vinyl Flat, it is supposed to work pretty good. I have not tried it out myself yet though.

Speaking of, Tom Petty's Wildflowers is like one of the hardest records to find. If anyone has it at a decent price, will pay you.

They were similar to how they sit on a shelf, but leaning a bit on each other. It's possible the weight made it happen. I've got a couple between books right now, we'll see how that goes. Thanks!

Need a new TT after my old one busted last year and trying to decide between getting an AT LP120 or a TEAC TN-300 player. Anybody have any thoughts or preferences between the two (or a similar different player within the same budget)?

I had an AKAI BT100 for Christmas but it had super inconsistent platter speeds...on two different ones...within one month. I got it replaced and exactly the same issue happened with the new one, and it seems to be a worldwide problem after searching online, so I'm getting a full refund. It looked great, as the TEAC does - but wondering if the robust nature of the LP120 and its ability to be customised and have components upgraded more easily is a better option? The TEAC is getting a lot of love recently though. I want reliability and playback over substance and aesthetics ultimately.

    Just looking for opinions really.
