The VMP Death Cab variants are nice, but I already have180g black copies of them all so I should resist. I should.

Is the Crimson preorder from 1234go that got emailed this morning those 10” versions? Didn’t see it mentioned in the details

I'm 99% sure they are. I think it's possible some shops don't even know they're 10" sets because Vagrant knows that fact is controversial at this point.

8DA3AB2E-85F3-498E-8005-9C08ECCF6A58.jpeg Ok question of the day:

    opinions on 7”’s?
    Favorite 7” you own?
    Rarest 7” you own?

I have maybe 100 or so but rarely listen to them, though can’t find it in me to get rid of them. I’m a discography collector so they are vital to that. My favorites are my OG death cab “your bruise”, a copy of the frumpies that had a hand written letter from a member of bikini kill, or OG The Smiths. Rarest? I’ll have to come back but your bruise by death cab is super rare

  11. I love collecting 7" records. When I travel places, I like to find a local record store and pick up a couple random 7" records from their punk/hardcore sections, just for fun. I started a YouTube channel for those, if you're curious about what I've picked up so far.

I like looking at my 7' records (and I like hearing the songs- a bunch of them are things I don't have in other formats), but they're kind of a pain to play. I listen to everything at least a few times when I get it, and have done a few complete playthroughs of the collection over the years, but pretty rarely pull out individual ones for regular listening (outside of catching up the non-12" formats on my vinyl Instagram each summer).

They're more convenient than 10" records only for the needle drop, but less convenient for how much you have to flip everything and make sure you have the right settings for size/speed.

My dream is to someday have a jukebox or something where I can just load them up and safely automate playing them, but that's realistically never going to happen haha

I built this vessel and it could capsize anytime Supporter

I generally don't seek out a lot of 7" records but if it is a band that I love and have everything else of I'll complete the collection. Example being Relient K, I grabbed every release from their 7" collection. I rarely listen to them but knew I wanted the full set.

A recent exception is Manchester Orchestra's I've Got Friends 7". I Was a Lid is my favorite song of theirs and I finally found a copy that was "only" expensive instead of incredibly expensive

I also don't really go for 7"s very often, but I do have more than I remember.

    Most rare are probably
    • Butch Walker - Chrissie Hynde/Growing Up (Don't Let Me Down)
    • You, Me, & Everyone We Know - A Great Big Hole EP
    • Forgive Durden - Beware the Jubjub Bird...
    • The Menzingers - No Penance/Cemetery's Garden

But I honestly have no idea. Haven't logged into my Discogs account in forever.

Got rid of a bunch of random 7" recently.

I don't think I have anything too special. Rarest are probably:
    • Margot & The Nuclear So And So's - Broadripple Is Burning / Holy Cow

    • Bayside - Already Gone

    • Jimmy Eat World - My Best Theory / Stop (signed by the whole band otherwise not really worth much)

my most expensive 7” records in terms of value are probably my tswift pictures to burn / should’ve said no singles. swifties are crazy.

i have a couple hundred 7”. i’m almost done collecting all jimmy eat world 7” but once i do that, there aren’t a ton of singles i still will want to seek out. they are a pain to play and in most cases i have those same songs already on the album they originated from. sometimes they include a remix i don’t have or something but i don’t necessarily need those.

I have some 7"s, but not a ton. Maybe 2 of those little vintages boxes to hold them all in. I have some rare Ryan Adams 7"s that I was collecting when he was putting that stuff out. Because of him, I fell in love with Phoebe's music and bought the Killer 7" right away, which is probably my most valuable 7". I'd have to say my favorites are the local, unsigned bands I love like Moonflower and Small Mess. Both bands are on spotify and really worth checking out if you're interested. Just top notch. It's also a little annoying to have to take apart the debut carbon just to change the speed back and forth to 45, so I don't really do it all that much.

    Some of my rarest/favorites-
    Phoebe Bridgers - Killer
    Moonflower - Feel it Too
    Small Mess - Split & 5" single
Ryan Adams -1984 & Prisoner Box set
    Basement - Further Sky
Bon Iver/Peter Gabriel - Come Talk to Me/Flume
Manchester Orchestra - Wolves a Night b/w Sacred Heart
