A local store randomly got the Sex EP in stock last week. Sealed copy and everything. So essentially I’m holding out hope.

 

My bad. Maybe they only had one haha I thought it was weird that they had it.

 

looks like Amazon has ONE copy of the Sex EP right now, on sale for $21. Hit it up!

 

Getting those EPs was one of the more stressful order days I can remember.

The recent Bayside 10"s have been that expensive as well, but I'm a big enough fan/rube that I want it in my collection more than I want the $22. The shipping costs are what kill me; I wish I could just order everything from my local store (and try to do that when I can), but these are the sort of thing that wouldn't be there, so I'm a little stuck.

 

I just sold a bit of my collection and cancelled a couple pre-orders. Need to control myself a bit haha

 

It looks like Vagrant decided to cut Buried and Don't Say You Won't from the new press of Alkaline Trio's Remains. Initially I assumed it was to keep it on 2 LPs, but the last press from 2007 included all 22 tracks on only 2 LPs. Curious.

I got all the 1975 eps from their webstore like 2 years back easily. Didn’t realize they weren’t still readily available

 

got my Rise order in. completely underestimated how tall the Transit Blues photobook is (13x13), so there's a micrometer of space between it and the top of my IKEA Kallax, lmao.

 

that was my biggest gripe with the Maine’s box set for their newest record! it was too big to fit in my kallax shelves!!! i am still debating on just unloading it because i have nowhere to put it and i don’t exactly think it matches my room as like wall art / display art.

 

i know other folks had the same problem with the collector's edition of Kid A Mnesia. i have no problem with the tight fit as long as i can access it still.

if by unloading you mean taking out the necessary components and putting them in a smaller sleeve/container, that's probably a good option. otherwise, maybe if you have a large-enough coffee table or something, the other parts could sit there? if not, there's got to be a way to at least have it sit upright somewhere, lol.

exactly. poor Dan - his b-sides got cut from the b-sides album on vinyl.

 

Fuck that. I'd love to hear Vagrant's logic for pulling those two tracks.

 

glad I didn't order it - I'll just pick up an original press off discogs

 

It's funny because usually you get vinyl-only bonus tracks. Between this and their affection for 10" sets, Vagrant just sucks.

Just got my U-Turn setup and of courage the belt is way too big to stay on. I heard about the freezer trick, just disappointing that right out of the box it's not usable.

Yeah I will if this doesn't end up fixing it. Dummy me invited people over tomorrow and told them to bring stuff they want to spin, so it's a bummer. I'm sure they'll make good though.

 

Freezer worked! There is a lot of hum though, gotta check that out, might be the preamp, but it's not noticeable when something is playing. Sounds great!
