Had to go into the office to make up time from earlier in the week, and scoured the clearance section of the Newbury Comics across the street. Surprised how good of a selection it was, but limited myself to these for $44 total:

i've seen that camp trash record at my local store (Northampton MA) for the past few months and would have bought it if i didnt already own a copy

anyone have any recommendations for an all in one system? unfortunately I don't have the space right now for a full set up, so I'm looking for options that has speakers built in. I had purchased one from electrohome, but was pretty unhappy with it (lots of wobble, and the sound quality was incredibly grainy. more than I was expecting.)

 

Great mail day! My Rise Records order (of Acceptance <splatter vinyl> and Spiritbox <tape>) came, plus my Discogs order of Thursday’s Full Collapse.

 

Man, I wanted to like that acceptance album so badly. What am I missing?! I just think it’s terrible but I LOVE BLTB and Phantoms so much

 

I think it's an incredible pop-rock record. I enjoyed Colliding By Design a lot more than Phantoms and Wild, Free, but that's just my opinion. Sometimes I catch a record at a bad time, mentally, so I try to give things multiple tries before giving up on it or deciding it's just "not for me."

Backordered two records on Merchbar on November 16th with no updates. Probably never going to happen, right?

 

Estimated date for my Rise Records record is Feb 1. it's coming with a test press, so if it's something i don't care about, i'll let you guys know.

is NWFT readily available? I found a copy at Newbury but it was too expensive to justify buying

 

Posted a link for a Canadian store yesterday for retail, seems there's some available, but they tend to go quickly when posted.

Not sure what shipping prices are to the US but US to CDN conversion is much better than the other way around.

 

I have never ordered from Merchbar. I feel like anything I look at is "backordered" and just see everyone saying their orders never get fulfilled in the end.

 

Merchbar is perfectly fine if it’s in stock. You just have to check that part first. Their customer service is actually super awesome and resent copies of things due to PayPal issue and moving.

 

Anyone else just have the thought that some of this rise stuff has just been in a warehouse sitting for a decade? Both thing I got are 10+ years old. Insane.
