The mountain range pop out in the gatefold is crazy!

 

Love a random Barnes and Noble purchase

 

Some of you may know, but just in case you don't, or you forgot... When I travel, or go to local record stores in my area, I like to go through the emo/punk/hardcore sections and pick out a couple 7 inch records that look interesting. I pick out just the ones of bands I've never heard of. It's generally very small bands from the 90s to early 2000s that only pressed like 200-500 copies of their records.

Originally, I had an Instagram account for this (@7inchitch) but I was only able to share a single song from each record, so it wasn't quite ideal. Especially for split EPs and compilations. So I've decided to turn my focus onto the YouTube channel.

Does anyone have a recommendation for vinyl sleeves that work for larger records? Not talking box sets, just bigger 2 LP gatefold sort of thing. Some of my recent stuff ain't fitting in the standards I have.

 

I have some sleeves that sometimes fit great in gatefolds but other times they don’t. Sometimes when one’s don’t fit, I’ve found they fit well when I slide them opening first, so the spine is sticking out of the opening in the end. If that makes sense. Ha

lol I tried some other one from Amazon and they all split almost every time. The big fudge ones haven’t let me down yet!

 

I’ve had luck with the Big fudge ones by putting the open end in first to stretch it out, then flip around and usually it’ll fit

I'd also love a repress of Pretend You're Alive! That was such a big album for me in 2005.

 

I'm still kicking myself for not buying that when it came out, I thought it was too expensive lol. I haven't seen it for less than $200 since then

 

Yeah, I was just looking at Discogs prices haha. Limited to 200 ain't a whole lot either, just another small run of like 500 max would probably be good for the ones who want it.

 

Everything Starts is probably a top 25 album of all time for me. Would be ecstatic to see that one pressed.

 

Finally got my hands on a copy of Crimson recently. It's a bootleg, but it plays well enough and it was quite cheap so that's good enough for me!

 

Is anyone looking for a first pressing of Mos Def - The Ecstatic? I know it's pretty rare, but I've just been sitting on a copy since it came out. I'd rather it go to someone on here that will enjoy it more, willing to take a trade.
