Happy little story regarding The Wonder Years/SCP. I purchased the deluxe version of Hum from the band's store and when it arrived, the booklet was ripped away from the jacket and the little 7" holder in the back was ripped open, too. I reached out to SCP about maybe just receiving a replacement package, as I noted the records themselves were perfectly fine.

They evidently had to get in touch with the label, because it took them a very long time to come to a resolution, but they opted to just send me a brand new copy with no need to return the other. The whole process took over a month, but I found it particularly neat that reps kept reaching out to me weekly to say "hey, we haven't forgotten about you, still working on this!" completely unprompted.

 

Oh shoot! How much was it?

So I'm only 3 albums in from my mail day yesterday, and part 2 shows up today.

At least I'll have plenty to listen to over the holidays!

Got an email from Smartpunk Records about Juliana Theory's 'Love' being back in stock and immediately grabbed one. They also listed 'Clarity' from Jimmy Eat World if anyone's looking for that.

 

There was a Fleshwater repress of /200. I put it in my cart, decided to check out a few minutes later... Sold out. Ugh.

Just found this thread, but my white whale used to be I'm Sorry I'm Leaving, I finally won a copy on eBay for like $80 back in 2012 or so and it just never arrived. I asked the guy for a refund and got it and later I realized I still had my old address on my eBay account. So I went to my old apartment and they let me check the mail where I found a bunch of missed delivery slips. As a last ditch effort I went to the post office to see if it was still there and the guy said it had only been returned to sender the day before. Super bummer at the time.

Been slowly but surely collecting Alkaline Trio vinyl - found a 2009 green re-press of Crimson recently for only $150

 

Fucking finally.

The Bluetooth did not work my set up. Which is a bummer. So I had to jankily set it up so I could use the aux cable. I’ll order a longer cable and then it’ll be in it’s true home.

This was the first vinyl album I ever bought, so it got the first play.

I think I’m gonna sell my clear copy of Crimson soon. I got really lucky when I started collecting trio records and bought in bulk from someone who basically hooked me up with most of their full lengths. I am still missing Good Mourning but I hold out hope someday it’ll either get a repress or I’ll find someone down to trade me a copy.
