Yay, got my Alchemy Index box set. I love how it looks. Only thing is my record player doesn't have a setting to play discs that size so I just have to set it to 7' or 12' and move the needle lol

 

I love the love for Jimmie's Chicken Shack. I thought I was the only one.

Nah, they’re great! Plus I grew up in Maryland (and still live here) so they’re an important band for me. On a side note, my cover band (called Pay the Tab) opened up for Jimmie’s Chicken Shack back in the day!

 

received the best buy exclusive of We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank yesterday. For some reason I didn't have that album in my collection yet, so I was happy to get a colored variant.

That's awesome. I would love to hear a vinyl remaster of "30 Days" alone. I wonder if the breakdown between JCS and Island back in the day has burned that bridge.

That Abandoned Pools album is so good.

Humanistic or Armed to the Teeth on vinyl would be incredible.

There's a new Abandoned Pools album due out later this year which will have a vinyl release, and one of the Kickstarter add-ons was Somnambulist on vinyl. I know he wants to press the rest of the discography but the rights are tricky for the early records.

Put this in the Weakerthans thread too but if y'all are like me and have been trying to find Left & Leaving on vinyl for awhile with no luck, this record store in Oakland apparently got like 50 unopened copies somehow? I don't think it was repressed recently. I've actually ordered from this store before so think it's legit, I ordered one!
