Haven't spun it yet but just got this and am kind of disappointed based on it being ~$40. No sleeve, two records just shoved inside with no liner notes or anything.

 

No sleeves at all? What the hell haha. That is disappointing. Are the records scratched?

 

Mine came with the standard paper sleeves.

 

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I meant no sleeve or wrap on the outside.

 

Yeah not really a HGB fan but I hate it when a reissue like that ends up being pretty bare bones. I’d always rather have thoughtful artwork/presentation/booklet than some pretty snazzy colored vinyl. Gimme standard black vinyl and put more thought into the other stuff

we were talking about VMP in here recently, that’s one of the things they do very well. Great presentation usually and personally I absolutely love the listening notes

 

Unfortunately not even first big vinyl issue with HGB — iirc the 7” boxset he did a while back turned out like trash and he had to refund a bunch of them. I’ve got two LPs from him and both turned out fine though, aside from a weird minor complaint with the S’Only Natural sleeve

 

I've had some bad luck with Discogs lately. Bought a record the other day, media listed as near mint. Huge warp, record is unplayable. Had someone make an order, I shipped it thinking I had received payment. They never sent the money. My own fault on that one.

Really happy with this Newbury Comics Paper Mâché Dream Balloon, it’s super pretty when held up to the light

 

SRC just put up for pre order some colored pressings for most of Blink's discography: Buddha (multi colored), Cheshire Cat (blue), Dude Ranch (red), Enema (marble blue) and TOYPAJ (red).

 

who's paying $37+ (before shipping) for Buddha on vinyl? haha.

it's cool that the TOYPAJ one includes all the bonus tracks. i have that deluxe version from a while back that came with the 3 7" records with the bonus tracks, so maybe i'll pick up this new pressing that has them all together on a 12"...

 

Haha the shame is the Buddha one has the coolest color design (blue red and yellow striped). But yeah I'd never shell out the money for that lol
I ordered Enema and Dude Ranch. $32 per LP was a little steep, but I've been having FOMO not having two of my favorite albums in my record collection.

i must have missed it, cause the TOYPAJ is already sold out. would have really wanted all the bonus tracks on one vinyl. oh well.

 

Since I still don't own it, I'm very tempted to preorder this Best Buy Exclusive of We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank. Has anyone ever preordered from Best Buy before? I've seen some people say they charge when you place the order and some say they won't charge your card until your order ships.

 

they do an initial charge when you preorder but it goes back and then you get charged when it ships

This year’s record store day list is maybe the worst of all time lol

 

i think the last couple were worse. at least in terms of things that i personally wanted. this is the first time in a long time where there's more than just 2 i'm interested in snagging.
