$30-$35 2xLP sets need to be 180, gatefold, and include a cool insert/poster.

THAT needs to be the bare minimum for a premium product if you’re asking people to pay premium dollars.

Unless it’s a true audiophile release, then that‘s entirely different.

 

got my new Iron Maiden album in today

 

i personally agree the prices suck but it's pretty clear supply/demand. there is an insane demand for vinyl and it has continued to sell out for big releases, so of course they're gonna bump the price and gouge us.

 

I found the definitive edition of the fragile for $35 at a random Barnes and Noble this weekend so that was my big steal of the week

 

Always check b&n. I find the rarest shit there that I don’t specific order from an artist or label directly

 

After the past few weeks with Hurricane Ida issues this beautiful masterpiece appeared on my door step…

 

A repress? That album was whole 6 months for me in middle school

Jealous! I got my A-B Life yesterday but haven't got a shipping notification for this yet.

 

Put this sucker together tonight after ordering it back in February. Alphabetized and feeling good about it.

Many more albums will be added to it by the beginning of October between pre-orders and my birthday.

Considering Chorus and AbsolutePunk are responsible for much of my taste in music that sounds about right haha. It was funny timing that I finally got the shelf to build the day before reading today’s newsletter about organizing vinyl.

 

I’m in the market for a new record player within the $100 - $200 range, not anything too fancy. Anyone have any recs?

I went with a custom version (green) with a cue lever and built-in pre-amp. I got the powered speakers separately.

 

If you can stand hanging on until around Black Friday, audio technica LP120s can usually be found for under $250. I got mine near BF for $230.

 

In this range or the lower end of this range, best bet would be, or at least chorus consensus I think is, audio technica lp60, the little brother of the aforementioned 120. Tried and true, safe and respectable option.
