I just ordered a new stylus, though I might be upgrading my entire setup sooner than later.

on vinyl and I’ve literally looked everywhere. Please check your channels and see if anyone can find one

 

If you really need it, and you’ve already been following Ebay and Discogs, just message everyone on Discogs that has one and see if they’re down to sell.

One person responded and said he’s not wanting to sell it but a friend of his who no longer collects may be willing. And so the rabbit hole continues

 

I did that when I was finishing out my Manchester Orchestra collection.

The Thrice split haunted me for months, and no one on Discogs or Deadformat would sell.

Friend has a really rare variant of it signed by JT and is asking $40. This may have been an awesome idea

 

I did that to complete my Blink variants. Talked to some really interesting people.

It was also like a 5% success rate considering not many responded and the some that did weren’t interested in selling

 

Does anyone from the US have experience shipping LPs to Europe, specifically Germany? Someone wants to buy an LP from me off discogs but shipping seems tricky

 

It sucked the first couple of times cause I wasn’t used to it, but as long as you have their exact address it will be fine. The custom forms are a pain but it’s literally just writing their address correctly.

In terms of cost, I usually ask for $20 to ship and then refund them the difference, if any, because it varies with insurance and whatnot.

I think you can use whatever shipping service you want, but I’ve always done it in person at USPS.

 

Update: When I said I wanted him to sell it to me through discogs so there was a paper trail he went silent and ghosted. May have dodged a bullet. My search continues

 

My wife, who usually sees my vinyl hobby as a waste of money, had me buy two vinyl for her

 

Ha, my wife always says the same thing about wasting money but she’s the one who bought my record player for me in the first place and at least once a year buys me a gift certificate to the record store. And then she’ll ask why I don’t buy records for her or the kids.

 

My wife bought me mine too!! And has gotten some for me for holidays lol
