Yeah it can at least tell you if the built-in preamp is the issue. If it is, you should be able to return/exchange the turntable.

Yeah, I don’t know much about those players, but it sounds like the preamp is dead inside.

    Return it.

At least I have something in common with it.

    Wow that was dark.

But yeah I’ll try the phono and see if it helps

It for sure has a preamp built inside?

Eventually I'd like to upgrade my speakers because I'm still using older speakers that require the copper cable wire and it's a pain in the ass.

Both my record player and the receiver (Sony) are only about four years old, but the speakers I'm using are very old.

Any recs on what I can hook up to my Sony Receiver? I don't mind wiring my speakers to the receiver, but I'd prefer ones that are easy to plug in and plug out and not have to worry about all the wires that get tangled and are a pain to even get out of the copper.

Would you say that you were getting some bad frequencies?

I was. But now they’re good Frequencies.

Until I play the album Bad Frequencies in which they’ll be awesome Frequencies. I haven’t heard it myself yet but @teebs41 and @Nate_Johnson say that album shines on vinyl

What’s the difference between copperwirea and these?? I’m new to this. My current speakers are connected by copper wire

I noticed a sound improvement when I switched to banana plugs. They're also just really easy to use. I hated cutting wire and keeping the ends together. I move apartments every year and it's easy for me to disassemble my speakers and get everything set up. They're nice to have
