What’s wrong with SRC?

 

They're very slow to get preorders out - I always assume 3-4 months past the date they claim. Also, sometimes customer service isn't great, but they've been very nice to me personally. A good friend of mine had a bad experience, though. Also, their prices tend to be much higher than other stores.

 

I had like zero interest in any actual RSD releases this year so I just picked up a couple records at Bullmoose I've wanted. Also got them both half priced since I had a ton of points on my account there.

It was honestly a relief not to go this weekend. Glad there was nothing I wanted.

 

i got the new Quicksand EP, but totally forgot to look for the Descendents 7 inch, so hopefully I can still find that somewhere...

 

they also put up preorders before official band preorders and press records records without the band's blessing, which, legally is fine since they have the rights, but still is very money focused which doesn't sit right with me

I managed to find the Linkin Park album without resorting to ebay, etc. - phew! Man, that one was sold out everywhere. Amoeba, SRC, Bull Moose, etc.

I feel this so much. I was so anxious last year with trying to get the B&C 7" and the Coheed pressing that it was a huge relief to go into the record shop to just casually browse and enjoy myself. My bank account is also thanking me!

Same. Waiting for other variants/options. Also never been big on white vinyl or screen printed jackets.

 

Are you talking about the Sugar Ray RSD release that's the special 20 Year Fly Anniversary 7"? If so, I honestly had no idea it existed until people started sharing it on social media. Apparently they sold out lots of places, but I finally am getting a copy tomorrow.

 

Will there be another variant ya think?

I would guess there will be a retail black version available.
