It may have to do with their new delivery system where they hire their owner drivers vs USPS. I've heard and seen a lot of horror stories with their drivers throwing packages on the steps or just not being careful with them. I received 2 vinyl from Amazon last week, and the package was basically open. The tape was hardly over the box and the vinyl looked like the strip had already been attempted to open.

I never had any problems in the past few years with Amazon, which is where most of my vinyl orders come from (other than they've delivered the wrong album to me on two separate occasions.)

 

Also sometimes records are delivered to the distributor with damaged covers and what not.

Well, I’m going to have to get that porg-shaped 10” record. Also, I’d pick up that Survive release, but it says regional so hopefully a store near me will have one (???).

 

I’d like to get Bleachers unplugged and that Phoenix 7”.

 

The National, Fleet Foxes, Sufjan, CSHR and Courtney Barnett release intrigue me. Wouldn’t mind snagging Phish Billy Breathes either. Wilco at thetroubadour as well.

 

The RSD Version of Blue Sky Noise was canceled.

 

I really wish I could find a copy of the Right Away, Great Captain trilogy that wasn't $200+. Now THAT should be on the RSD list.

Circa Survive - Blue Sky Noise

I hate the sound of the variant look. Black w/ splatter doesn’t work very often. Also, I would much rather prefer this doesn’t receive a RSD release because I really don’t want to deal with the headache associated with trying to find a copy and not for five times the price.

 

I really hope Blue Sky Noise gets pressed asap, whether it's RSD or not, because I want that damn record!!!

It's always so stressful selling records! I put my tradelist out there and ask for offers, then the responses are always, "how much for this 10 record list I am giving you that I'll eventually maybe only buy one or two of?!?" lol. I have made a couple of sales but mannnn...

 

Sellers asking for offers is like my least favorite thing about the vinyl community lol. Like, where else in the world do you go to buy something where the merchants is like “how much would you pay for this?” Imo records should just come with a price because otherwise as a buyer I’m going to low ball every time, so we may as well skip that step

I would separate half of those records and put them on the other side of that shelf. Too much weight stacked one side could cause some damage to your records.

Debating buying the new Nap Eyes and Amen Dunes on VMP. They also have a variant for the new Wye Oak.

 

First pick up in a while. Grabbed Knuckle Puck - Copacetic and Turnover - Good Nature for $17 each on Amazon.

 

Just snagged Relient K’s “Five Score” from SMLXL (free shipping code “FREESHIPSPRING” if anyone wants to try to use it). Also got Switchfoot’s “Vice Verses” from them recently.

Preordered Black Panther soundtrack, Chvrches “Love is Dead”, and Underoath’s “Erase Me”.
