Yeah couldn’t believe I read that. I suppose everyone should prepare for your shit to coke damaged and then know there’s nothing you can do about it.

 

It basically makes it seem like it was poorly produced, so they are going to pretend it was on purpose, so there is nothing you can complain about.

Yea I saw on my order status page it has shipped, but did not see that note. But yes, so much for saving face on any aspect of this preorder kerfuffle.

 

can't wait to finally get my limited vinyl and then leave it unopened forever, or until i decide to go through the trouble of selling it.

Sounds/looks like the needle isn’t making full contact with the record. Recalibrate your counterweight and anti-skate

 

Arrrrgghhhh, I've done and redone that a million times over so I was assuming it was something with the cue. Frustrating.

 

Have you replaced the original stylus at any point? If you have, you’ll want to calibrate it to the new manufacturer recommended weight. If not and you’re using the stock stylus and recommended weight, your tone arm could be faulty and you’ll want to contact AT. What essentially is going on is that your tone arm doesn’t have enough downward and inward force placed on it so the needle isn’t making full contact with the depth and outer wall of the groove.

 

So I found a copy of Ixora for p cheap at a Second and Charles, was in a sealed polybag so I assumed new, but the cashier said it was used and in playable condition, so I bought it, opened it, and it's got hella dust and some scuffs and scratches on it. Will try and play it tonight and see if I need to return it. 2NC is very good with returns, but man, I was so psyched to get an OG copy of the best album for cheap and now I'm scared it's just a copy that got fucked up by a Crosley.

 

Turns out it plays FINE. like it sounds great. I just got a 180g copy of Ixora for $14. I'm going to cry.

What does that even mean? Like, they're just knowingly shipping a shitty package to everyone who paid $30 more than everyone else and waited months longer than everyone else to receive it?

Still waiting for my shipping notification for Pollyanna. My Expected delivery date is tomorrow...and my credit card was charged this morning, but according to my order status, still hasn't shipped :(

 

This will go down as the least gratifying rollout of all time, hands down.

 

Also really excited to get Bad Books I next week (allegedly).

I also wonder if this whole “you can’t return this shitty product” thing has anything to do with how many orders they refunded after the allegations came out.

 

I don't understand why everyone is assuming the very limited SF packaging is going to be "shitty" based on that note. Are you assuming they fell off the back of a truck and now they just need to send them out like that? Much more likely that the packaging is some sort of "handmade/vintage/artisinal/weathered" that couldn't be mass produced. It's not like the pressing itself held up the orders.

 

Yeah, I don’t know about you all but I for one feel like Brand New deserves the benefit out of the doubt based upon all of the goodwill that they have earned.

Edit: Also, I just recently awoke from a coma, I am assuming I didn’t miss anything?
