I have no interest in the latest Arcade Fire, but I'm going to bring up the fact that apparently there are 20 international versions of their latest record... the artwork and the language printed for each is different. Seems a little excessive ha

Wanted to share this with you folks, my general IG followers don't appreciate it like the folks in this thread would. Fucking love this band, so happy to own this.

Been wanting that one, how long ago did you get it?

Just got it off eBay last week, it arrived yesterday. I was able to find one for $36, but it's been quite a hunt to find one that was that price!

Could you explain to me how that works? Thanks in advance.

$36 isn't too bad. I really want Gospel too. I only have Oh, Common Life. I miss Fireworks

As do I, my friend. Criminally underrated band. Gospel is a bit more affordable and there are a few variants, I was able to snag one a few months back. I have all three as well as the Bonfires 7". Definitely some of my favorite records!

I made this mistake with the last affordable copy I saw on eBay...had to grab this one. Thanks for letting me take it home :D

  11. Just threw Paulson's All at Once on the turntable for the first time. Damn I love this album.

It's $5 here if anyone else shares my enthusiasm. Took a while to ship because I think the label is basically defunct at this point. But well worth it.

The Used have a new album out 10/27. Vinyl is up at merchnow, two different variants so far.

Set up my tone arm lift finally. Not having to rush over to the turntable when a side ends is a game changer.

Maybe a dumb question. What does it do/what happens without it

The needle can break if you let it ride the label for a long time. Read that people have fallen asleep and when they wake up their needle is broken. Plus the sound of the needle scrapping the label sounds pretty rough especially with headphones.

Ah ok. I guess both of the turntables I've owned have them then, because I never had to manually lift the needle when the side ended

Yeah sometimes I wish I had an automatic turntable for convenience. This add on was worth it though. I feel less stressed out about it. So far I've had 100% success rate as in it not lifting before the side is done. I'm happy with it

Next Show - Foals April 22nd

Isn't the whole purpose of a run off groove to stop this from happening? My Project Debut is manual and there's plenty of times a side will finish and I'll let it run until I have the chance to go flip the record over, never had an issue.

Yeah I think you're right. I have some records that don't make the crashing noise and some that do.

Some of my records are just noisier than other, but none of them make it onto the label. That being said, my old table had the auto-return function and it was super convenient.

There will probably be a day I will have two turntables haha

I've considered buying a second table so I have one at school and one at home for summer and winter breka. But that means transporting records back and forth...

Like Moths To Flames have a new album coming out. It's up on merchnow. That being said, I absolutely hate the "you have to buy a bundle to get the more limited variant" bullshit trend.

Release My Mind, My Garden Grows

Thats my biggest pet peeve in preordering stuff. Like why can't every band/artist just do a "build your own" bundle where you can just switch out the pressing and everything else, like different shirts and whatever else they're selling with it. Can't be that hard to impliment. RFC has been doing a good job of it recently with bands like Citizen and Turnover but a lot of merchnow bundles are just like the one you mentioned and its kinda BS for us. The worst is when they don't even sell the vinyl separately at all and force you to go for a $60 price if you simply just want a record
