For any old folk like me, Equal Vision just dropped a pressing of This Day Forward's (Colin and Brendan from Circa Survive's band before Circa) 2000 album "The Transient effects of Light on water".

I saw Vadim post about this today, glad this is getting a release.

 

FINALLY. I ordered this from them months ago at a show, I can't wait.

 

Totally forgot about this but and honestly delays don't even phase me anymore...

 

As long they communicate, it doesn’t bother me at all. The OG date was 10/18, so it’s just a week delay it seems. No problem.

i was sort of arbitrarily going to decide that Tegan and Sara would be my next artist to collect but then I saw Discogs has Sainthood at $100 so nvm

 

genuine question: are you cleaning your whole collection or just a select few records? i think i only ever wet clean once i get a new record or if i haven't played it in a while and want to combat dust buildup

 

one cap of solution does 10 at a time so I just make a list as I listen to them of which ones could use a cleaning and when I have 10, I do it.

Nice to spin some classics from 20 years ago!

 

I’d be surprised if I get Blood Brothers off of them by then. The shipping label was made up about 2 weeks ago and hasn’t even reached the courier yet! Non-existent customer service.

 

I’ve found that when the Smartpunk team are working an event / concert, they fall behind and could take a few weeks to get back to you but they eventually come through.

 

I'd preordered Action through Punchline's merch table a few months ago and emailed them today to find out what variant it was going to be; they had me pick from three of them (blue/purple, red black stripe, and green/yellow). Was hoping it was the splatters, but I went with the red and black since it matches the art. Going to mayyyyyybe pick up the splatter tomorrow if I can.

 

My pressing from 2014 is basically the lower left one in the photo. I may go for one of the “off” colors just to keep them distinct.

 

I like that they kind of paid tribute to the previous ones (the green/yellow split); gonna try and snag the lower left one and figure out which one I like more. Really want to see them do a 37 Everywhere pressing if this goes well.

 

I just want a new album. I think it’s too late in the year for them to put it out this year. Although, I think Thrilled was a December release. But I guess next year it’ll be.


For some reason I thought 37 Everywhere had been pressed in the past few years. I checked and it was 2013, oops. Glad I snagged them all when they were put out. I’m sure Action will do well. They also did 1k of Major Motion Picture and that sold out in a few hours.

 

37 Everywhere turns up occasionally on Discogs, I think the last one I saw was $150 or something. Never grabbed MMP, time to add that to my want list in hopes of getting lucky.
