It is a bit underwhelming this year... I may try and get The Gaslight Anthem live on 10", but other than that I don't see why they felt the need to press 25,000 copies of Billie Eilish's isolated vocals on her new album. Could be the big item this year, much like Taylor's Long Pond Sessions from a year ago.

 

Better Than Ezra - Deluxe I'd possibly be interested in.

 

I’ll try to grab the Beaches 7 inch. But that’s really it.

Not much of interest for me for RSD BF.

With the exception of:

Better Than Ezra "Deluxe"
Norma Jean "Wrongdoers"

Only thing that catches my eye is Olivia Rodrigo.

 

That Billie release is the kind of thing that just makes me ask the question “Who the hell needs this on vinyl?” I’m sure it’s something that’s cool to hear once if you’re a fan. Pressing 25,000 copies of it seems like a waste of resources to me. But then again, they press a lot of dumb shit for RSD.

i don't have Descensus yet so i may grab that, Kacey, and Challengers Mixed. but none of them are musts.

 

Surprised they didn’t announce someone like Charli XCX as the ambassador. But maybe they’ll do that for next year.

 

It seems like it was a "we need a major artist pressing this year!" panic-type of release for RSD BF. Something to draw in the crowds to the stores, but holy shit, 25k copies is a big risk...

 

What exactly is that one, just vocals?

Also stunned it's an "RSD First" which implies there's gonna be a ton of them, this is just the first pressing. Kinda undermines Billie's whole "we're not going to do a ton of variants, that's bad" thing.

100% going to get that Challengers remix album. That's my AOTY. Thinking about canceling my amazon pre-order of the original score now. Also interested in RATM. Maybe Modest Mouse

 

The real secret is all the local stores save their best used shit until RSD and at my store, the RSD titles are in a separate line

 

Revisiting The Higher this morning; I’d love someone out there to remaster “Histrionics” and press it to vinyl.

 

I'm going to be so mad if I don't get a copy of Baron Von Bullshit Rides Again because I'm out of the country this year. I was just thinking about how it was kind of surprising that it hadn't been pressed sometime in the last ten years or so.
