Earlier than expected in spring 2024. Which is vague enough to tell us nothing haha

for those who missed out on the David Byrne/Paramore RSD split, you can get your hands on at least half of that collaboration, as the whole Stop Making Sense tribute album is now up for preorder. Everyone’s Getting Involved

$35 is on the higher end for a single LP, but it could be a lot worse

Once you add in shipping and tax, $50. Yeesh.

good point. i was mainly thinking of artists who start with $50 as a base price for a single LP.

My post-RSD shopping trip at my other local store was fruitful! Got that elusive Unwritten Law record, plus The Movielife and Sharptooth LPs to round out my collection.

I also picked up two free posters and a Killers’ “Pressure Machine” lyric booklet. I’d be happy to ship out the posters/books to anyone who’d like them. Just send me a PM! IMG_0210.jpeg IMG_0209.jpeg

It sold out pretty quickly so what do I know? haha. I would have grabbed it if the variant was nicer.

    Surprise, Surprise Prestigious

The film score for Ryusuke Hamaguchi's new film Evil Does Not Exist is available for pre-order. Eiko Ishibashi crushed it with the Drive My Car score (still need that on vinyl) so I'm excited about what this will contain.

    Die rad.

I cant wait until CDs make a comeback and they cost $40. LOL I remember when I would complain Sam Goody was charging $19 for a cd that every other store had for $15. This was before Target and Best Buy started really carrying CDs for $7.99

I've been listening to Waking Ashland recently. Composure was such a great album and would be a nice addition to my vinyl collection. The song "Same Problem" would fit nicely on a Something Corporate album.

Totally agree, that would be perfect for Unoriginal Vinyl to do. There's a loooong list of T&N albums from era that need to be pressed

Gonna Ride My Palomino, Ride 'im to the Fair.

    Hey gang.

Does anyone have any good record store recommendations for Manhattan? Specifically lower.
I don't think I'm going to have any serious shopping time, but if I can map one along our outing, I will.
The fam doesn't want to watch dad browse all day for vinyl (understandably.)

    Thanks everyone.

I had a friend that worked at Sam Goody when i was a freshman and he was a senior. I'll never forget how upset i was when he opened and ripped my copy of Blink's Untitled before he gave it to me, but i couldn't complain cause he was my only source for PA albums. SG was also the only place in town you could get parental advisory albums, so I'd save up my lunch money for a week to purchase a CD and give him the money. Great hookup.

I still have my entire CD collection and if there's ever a revival to the point where I could make some money off of it, i'm selling all of it and putting it back into vinyl.
