A mouse means we are getting a new Mario Paint 100%

I have to be honest, when I saw that in the video, my mind did not immediately think "Oh, it's a mouse" but instead thought Nintendo was just being fun and was like, "Cute, the controller is a train."

Also hoping a mouse means we're getting an Another Code sequel and/or more Famicom Detective Club.

I think a lot about how the Switch joycons worked and how the motion sensor reading did with that console and it makes me question the durability of their mouse functionality on Switch 2 joycons

Katana Zero was f'ing awesome from beginning to end - absolutely loved it.

Now I'm playing Portal 2 which I somehow never played despite being a HL geek, and I know I'm going to struggle as I'm a big dummy with spatial awareness, but fun so far. Just a few hours in, but I don't know if I'll get to the end without at the very least cheating.

After that, I'm going to play Signalis after seeing some very good things about it (including in here from a few years ago when I searched). I am going to avoid all spoilers, but I am confident it'll be another gem that'll I'll love.

It's crazy that after really only enjoying AAA cinematic games (HL / GOW / TLOU / Uncharted / RDR2) etc. I am exploring so many cool, unique indie games.

These days I'm really just looking for a fun gameplay hook or a compelling story and around 10 hours of gameplay, and if it does BOTH then well, sign me up right now.

Still not sure how the mouse feature will be implemented. Will I be able to use it as a pointer on my tv or something? I thought the joycons did that already

Pound for pound probably the best 3 games ever mentioned in a single post.

This was my exact thought too. I was so confused when everyone was saying it was a mouse. Lol

Yeah I also apparently missed every leak or rumor about it as well. Felt real dumb over here.

Finally starting Alan Wake II, and as much of a coward as I am, I'm really enjoying it so far. Cool to see how much it riffs on Twin Peak: The Return so far.

From what I heard on a podcast, they're doing the worldwide tour showing it off and that wraps up in June, which is likely when it'll get released. They're also prepping 20 million units for release.

So I picked up the final fantasy 7 remake/rebirth double pack on Steam (it was all but 50 bucks) and I wanted to kinda get back into the groove before rebirth drops and… I am shocked. It did not age particularly well, especially coming off of ff16.

like everything about it is perfectly serviceable but it just feels oddly mundane and rote.

You can tell they had quite the budget but somehow it plays it too safe? Hard to put the finger on it. I’ll give it another shot tomorrow, but honestly I’m a little shocked how little I enjoyed it, especially since I have rather fond memories of my time with it from when I played it.

Also, that first boss fight kinda sucks. So messy and obtuse.
