I’d rather they devote resources for their gaming properties on actual games then trying to make UD a thing when people made it clear it’s not something they care about and that’s where I stand on it.

For the last bit, that person you refer to is dead, it was a lie I lived to protect myself from people because I felt like I couldn’t be queer me out of fear of retaliation. Thing is, I don’t care anymore. I’m a bitchy queen and I’m gonna be me, calling people honey and all. Now I respect you immensely and if you don’t want me to call you that, that sucks but I will honor and respect that because you are a good ass person who’s stood up for me many times and I owe you that at least.

I mean in theory Sony could reallocate budget from games to movies, that could happen depending on corporate priorities, but them making movies out of games does not indicate that that is happening anymore than them making other kinds of movies. If anything, it’s probably meant to help the games division in some way.

 

Yesterday I watched The Remarkable Life of Ibelin doc on Netflix, and that may be the single best video game related media I have ever seen. I cried so hard. Crazy it hasn't really been catching on outside of the WoW community.

Where do these adaptations hurt people exactly? If they’re good, then that’s awesome. If not, then oh well. They’re separate companies, so it takes nothing away from gaming. It’s advertising to get more games and it can be another great way to experience that game again in a different medium, if it’s nailed obviously.

We finally start getting well made game adaptations and people are complaining that they’re making adaptations like they’ve done for decades. JFG and DFW (don’t fucking watch) if it’s so offensive.

I don't really see the point of adaptations the way Sony likes to do them except to make money. I like The Last of Us show but there was barely any value add compared to having played the game thrice over at this point.
