Not a surprise, the gaming community is starved for big budget triple A platformers that are short, sweet and highly stylized and Astro bot delivered on that in spades. What has that genre seen on the level of Mario odyssey since Mario odyssey?

you just know the Mario developers are absolutely going to cook the next main Mario game with this motivation from Astro bots winning

A lot of award results I wasn’t big on but a deserved win, even if it’s not my GOTY it’s a GOTY quality game

 

Should have been Balatro smh

But I’m happy for Astro Bot, really want to play it.

 

Still kinda think it should have been Balatro but a mascot platformer winning is fun

 

The idea that the Mario dev team aren’t already cooking harder than anyone in the industry is hilarious to me

 

Sweet! Happy we got the naughty dog announcement. Im expecting mid 26 despite being in the works for a minute. Trailer looked stunning, and dialogue, score and motion capture all that had that naughty dog polish. Whats it about and how will it play? Who knows. But the quick tease at the end showed some action and if the combat evolves from the tlou2 which was already top tier, its going to be fantastic.

Congrats to astrobot. Havent played yet.

 

Balatro won enough side categories to warrant big congrats as well imo

 

Happy for Team Asobi, they def deserve it.

 

Balatro (or Rebirth) robbed, but fair play, not a platformer fan at all but Astro Bot seemed like a fantastic game from what I saw

this was probably the only game awards I’ve actively sat down and watched and yeah what a good one

 

Onimusha announcement probably my favorite of the night, love that series so much
