I saw Wild Arms and Shadow Hearts and both Suikodens and FFVIII AT NUMBER #11 and was like

 

"hey so there's this new game called Marvel Rivals"
yeah...?
"where you play as Marvel characters"
YEAH???
"against other people"
oh. aw. no thanks.

(the funny thing is Avengers and Guardians are right there and i still haven't finished them)

 

That's cool and all but I see a real distinct lack of Arc The Lad from your post and I am now fixated on how some wrong somewhere needs to be righted.

 

I'll be honest, the first ARC game I played was Twilight of the Spirits on PS2 and it got overshadowed by so much more. The PS1 games that good?

 

I is a very short game and establishes core concepts and characters, but it's really more of a prologue for II, which is undisputably the best in the series and an incredible RPG that feels like it never ends in a good way.

Some very dark stuff in the plotline, great characters, and I just love the way it executes story and sidequests as being missions you take from a board that are clearly marked as to what they are. Makes it easier to keep track of everything and make sure you don't move the story along before you're ready.

It's such a good game and I would love it if the Arc series as a whole got collected for modern systems.

 

Slay the spire is an evil, evil game. I was down to 3 hp and thought I clutched a boss fight only for it to ‘awaken’ which revived it back at full 300 hp lol

 

my favorite thing about this game is the charm and sense of humor

Ummmm Caves of Qud finally hit 1.0 and i'm finally gonna try it

 

hell of a deal. Nioh 2 is one of my favorite games of all time.

You have to admire the commitment.

 

Late to the party, but I'm only an hour into Octopath Traveller 2 and this game is an absolute dream.
