I’m not sure if I would consider it more intentional, I found that you can steamroll most enemies and they throw a TON of them at you. There’s some interesting depth in the skill tree, which is massive, and also with different gems and synergies in weapons. I’d say give it a try - it’s free so no sweat if you get into it and end up not having fun haha. I put maybe 20 ish hours into it and that was enough for me.

edit: I missed the part about Xbox. It’s free on steam, I have no idea what it’s like on consoles

 

heavily inspired by Diablo 2 but has infinitely deeper game systems. to the point where you had to use guides for the first PoE.

they simplified a lot of these mechanics for the sequel.

The game was built on controller first. It uses WASD movement on PC (option for click to move)

Gems are no longer socketed into gear. It has its own gem interface. So you aren’t forced to keep bad gear anymore due to good socket colors.

They added a dodge roll to each class.

Bad/no marketing, irrelevant franchise thanks to a bunch of clunkers and age, unpopular platform, niche developer, everybody hates that it’s first person.

I do want it to be good. I fucking love Indy. I grew up on the first three movies and played Infernal Machine and Emperor’s Tomb too. Really hoping it’s solid and I can pick it up on a sale at some point

 

pretty bad numbers for a first party exclusive big holiday game. i know era loves sony a bit too much but this is still somewhat concerning. microsoft's obtuse multiplatform strategy isn't helping either, reading a lot of "I'll buy this when it comes to PS5 posts" on socials.

I think the game is going to be amazing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Rise of the Tomb Raider is one of my favorite games ever, I love the new Wolfensteins, I fuck with this hard.

Kind of keep forgetting it’s a real game that exists and is coming out. But that’s just me.


Anyway closed out my purchases by getting Infinite Wealth physical on amazon

 

I’m not saying people are going crazy for it but I have seen enough over the last week to know that it is in fact coming out which is more than I can say for a lot of games

 

I forgot that it’s a Bethesda game and that it’s this year. I’ll check it out probably.

 

I saw a YouTube ad for it over the weekend and forgot it was a real thing

 

I really wish I was excited for the Indy game because I love that franchise, but it’s looked like crap to me since the first gameplay video. I still would’ve liked to check it out and possibly be proven wrong though. But I had to give up gamepass, so no chance I’m playing it any time soon now. Lol

 

I still don’t fully understand what the gameplay is like and generally don’t like when games are overly cinematic but I’ll be trying it out thanks to the best deal in gaming

 

I've been playing Iris and the Giant via remote play on my Surface Pro, card games on touchscreens is fun
