Crazy you hadn't played this before but it's never too late. I agree with your thoughts - the ending is one of my favorite endings of any piece of media. I think the 'final scene' and the dialogue right before the cut to black is just absolutely perfectly done. It was the sort of ending that didn't need a sequel, but I'm in the camp that I'm glad we got one. I know you're just coming off of DA and sick of the cultural war around that and oh boy, just play Part II blind.

Part 1 is sort of annoying game play wise for me after II as a lot of mechanics that were added in the sequel, aren't in part 1 including the remaster (that's the only flaw, I wish they had added some of the combat improvements from II to 1). I think part II has the slickest and most impactful 'violence' in any game. The physics and graphics for the combat are just insane. I never get tired of popping someone's head off with a silenced pistol from the grass despite how visceral it feels.

 

Phantom Liberty is great and a fantastic addition to the game. It's fast paced, introduces a great new area and characters, and is will integrated into the main storyline. Some of the toughest 'role playing' choices of the game are in the expansion.

 

Yeah I’ve seen the show and still was floored by the game, and I still love the show even after experiencing the game. Can’t decide if I wanna play part 2 before or after season 2 comes out

 

I’ve looked at a used PS Portal now that I’m living with a partner, this update is interesting

 

one of the main reasons I generally use my ps5 the least of my devices is because I have no handheld option for it so I def want one

 

The Portal is absolutely fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone

 

just throwing this out there, but my girlfriend and I played through TLOU Part 1 as the show was airing. I’d already played it, but for her we would watch an episode, and then play the game up to that point in the episode. Sort of a weird way to consume a game hahah but it was actually super fun

 

These are all the achievements I have remaining. I'll be able to get Tiny Hands and Rule Breaker, but no way I'm getting the last two

Finally beat orange stake and unlocked the last deck, which somehow makes the game more replayable

I just got the world map and started dying laughing I kept thinking gee this land mass is kinda small but holy shit the world is massive

 

I plan on getting this after I finish Silent Hill 2. Reviews seem positive.

 

I’m taking a big Honkai break. I love it, but it just took over all my time.
I’m back onto Silent Hill 2 and really enjoying the atmosphere, sound design, and the way James writes on the map as I encounter things in the environment haha. I had to look up the code for the box at the end of the hospital though and I never would have thought of it. Still a cool puzzle though.

I started Stalker yesterday and then had to stop because my daughter had a FUCKING KNIFE PULLED ON HER IN SECOND GRADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Game has some terrible bugs but it’s fun as fuck. Can’t think straight. Gotta JFG today
