Watching Challengers the other night made me want to play tennis again.

not what I wanted to do after watching challengers but go off

 

Theres so much more noticeable progress in Tennis if you play consistently. Ive been the same level of bad at golf for like 18 years

 

I don't know why but the Marathon update video has been bugging me so much. I think it feels more like a response to the oncoming closing of Concord devs. Sony doubling down in their live service model?

 

Also I'm excited to see a wider reaction to Veilguard and want to play it, but I will say some of the clips of the writing and storytelling i've seen on Twitter/X have been pretty atrocious.

 

I mean we are dealing with the worst people on the internet. The crybabies who hate woke games. I’ll just find out for myself rather than trust their discretion.

yeah I mean, that’s why I want to see a wider audience for it. Still though, the clips that I’ve seen are really bad. Especially when you factor it’s Dragon Age and BioWare. 2 minute clips out of context aren’t enough though.

 

I glaze any half decent RPG as well so I shouldn’t be trusted either lol

 

I think they have a really great path forward with the new gameplay design and am really excited to try it out, still don’t like the overall aesthetic design but who knows what living in the world will do.

 

Gonna try it out later but the gameplay for dragon age looks great and super smooth.

Still not sold on the story and dialogue

 

i love the aesthetic of Veilguard, as in the actual 3d-stuff.

the menus and typography etc. look hacky as fuck

 

The menus look like a mobile game lmao

I say that about to go into a meeting where I am about to present some real fucking hacky UI-design because... I wanted to make a casserole and ran out of time.

 

Idk what it’s like now and I’m sure it’s improved but what I seen of the new state of decay UI before I left Microsoft was probably the worst I’ve ever seen.


It looked like that meme of elden ring if Ubisoft had done the UI
