I think I played 84 hours of Guild Wars 2 this weekend, I think this is the MMO I have been searching for all my life

cue to me playing a completely different free to play MMO next weekend

but no really i think it is

30-40 hours into any JRPG and I tend to feel pretty tired of it. Except for Persona 5. It took like 90 hours for me to feel that way. Thought I was nearly done with it and spent the next 50 hours wondering if it was just a game that never ends. lol

So I finally got around to playing Eiyuden.

This is SO not-suikoden. It's such an old school jrpg I feel like I'm in the 90s again lol. It really sucks we may never get a sequel due to Murayama passing away and it especially sucks because the team obviously still had IT, I can only imagine a suikoden VI in their hands.....

The studio is still working on a sequel from my understanding.

 

God I hope so. The world is filled with stuff they could touch on and just knowing how they expanded upon the first suikoden with each subsequent release, I'm only like 20 hours in and I'm already picking up on small sub stories with certain characters they can build off of. I'm sure Murayama left behind a bible of sorts so the team can follow that, but it's gotta be tough not having him around.

I’ve never played Suikoden as yet but I’ve put 12 hours into eiyuden, would i enjoy Suikoden more or

Eiyuden story is ok so far, not anything super special I feel. Suikoden 2 has IMHO top 3 jrpg stories ever. I'd suggest picking up the remaster of 1 and 2 coming out in March. If you're liking eiyuden you'll definitely like suikoden.

A lot of new players didn't like how old school, no QoL eiyuden was. "Clunky" inventory/equipment management, no fast travel asap, no save anywhere, confusing hidden stats, random battles, it's all suikoden so I love it haha.

 

Just finished Unicorn Overlord. Really loved the game, great characters and it was genuinely fun until the final battle. Only negatives would be that it gets a bit repetitive battle wise toward the end and I was hoping for a little more motivation on some of the rare items.

really hoping to see more games with this structure from Atlus

 

I loved the hell out of UO but man I wish there was DLC or postgame stuff

 

I gave Eiyuden a second try and really enjoyed it a ton more the second time. Prob got like 45 or 50 hours in.
