I love how Astro bot is sort of poking fun at Gacha games

 

I think one of the main appeals of consoles for me is being able to play on my couch rather than at my desk.

I tried a shield but it was less than ideal experience. If I could find a good setup between playing on my couch or at my desk the only console I’d look at is whatever Nintendo puts out.

 

I may also need to update my graphics card soon as I didn’t remove it when I shipped my PC (I thought I’d packed it well with foam) that it had pulled out of the PCI slot and now I’m scared to turn it on…

 

have you tried PC > HDMI > TV?

 

Same. I don't even have a desk, no need or want. Haven't had a dedicated gaming PC setup since 2016 and even then I vastly enjoyed couch gaming on my 70 inch.

 

My PC is in a completely opposite room to my TV so that setup wouldn’t be ideal.

 

Oh no, but if I had to pick someone he’d be the one.

 

I'd say get a laptop or a 2nd pc, but at that point you're probably better off just getting a console like you said haha

maybe that’s because I’ve been playing the Arkham games nonstop for a few weeks. But she has a grappling tool and glides? Catches criminals and puts them in cells? Hmmmm haha

 

Ropeway Rally is going to make a few people lose controllers in Astrobot. It’s a doozy.

 

Tbh, I haven't had much trouble with any of the astro challenge levels yet. Hoping there's an ultra tough one at the end cause I'm just too fucking ripped at platformers.

That is definitely my one criticism of the game: overall it is VERY easy but then it has these huge upswings in difficulty that may really alienate some people, especially some younger gamers. If it was even across the board then I would understand. The harder levels are totally fair but I am forewarning people. You can absolutely get through them with practice but its just a matter of how much are you willing to do that?

Good news everyone

 

Update Outlaws is kind of driving me crazy but I am enjoying the main story enough that I’m pushing through.

The map frustrates the heck out of me I might just suck at reading it ha idk but I spent forever trying to get on this one mountain finally I actually died really close to it and it spawned me on a ramp that I just turboed with the speeder on to reach the location ha

Also it seems like some of the stealth type missions could benefit from more idk what to call it “staging?” Like it tells you to reach the location so I haul there thinking like ok I’ll stop just outside and figure my way in but instead 90% to the location and enemies start spotting me and I feel like I’m playing wrong hahaha

I feel like this game had potential to be way more, as it sits for me right now at least lots of decent things but mixed with a lot of mud.
