Anyways. Has anyone played Dragon Age Inquisition? I wanna get caught up before the new game sinews wondering how it was. I originally started playing at launch but then my dad died and stuff happened and I just never got in the right frame of mind to revisit it. But it's been a while and I downloaded it on my Xbox and am debating between that and Atlas Fallen.

I thought Dragon Age Inquisition and Witcher 3 were pretty universally considered top tier rpgs for their time, kinda like how highly Baldur's Gate 3 is regarded now (i still need to play BG3). I enjoyed both and can't tell you which i love more.

 

Oh wow. I remember it getting praise upon release but to hear it in the same breath as Witcher 3 is something. That definitely raises my want to pay it now.

Also yes, you still need to play BG3. Game was simply phenomenal.

 

Harry Potter is one of the biggest “Well yeah but muh memories…” things out there. Like do you really care about running around a digital Hogwarts that much that you willingly gave money to a woman who very recently got sued for her weaponized transphobia? Them books don’t hold up on a reread anyway so what gives?

 

Hogwart's is definitely one of the games I was alluding to in my original post about games I have very pointedly not purchased.

A majority of people playing the Hogwarts game did it to “own the libs”. The people I saw tweeting about it would have made fun of me for reading the books in shop class 6th grade.

 

I see the same thing when Stellar Blade came out and even recently Wukong. Some places online rejoiced getting it to own the libs and I'm just like......do you even know if it's a good game (SB was good actually)? Do you know if you'll like it? You wanna waste $70 on a game you're not even sure is worth it? Just to "own the libs"....c'mon lol.
